I had my 2nd shot two weeks ago...felt great until the following afternoon (almost exactly 24 hours) and all the symptoms, except fever hit me. The next day I was about 75% and the day after I was back to normal. I have to remind myself to remove that smug look on my face when I grocery shop w/out a mask :)

My shots were some months ago, both pfizer. First one, no effect at all, for about 4 days then my arm was sore and I felt all achy for a day. 2nd shot, morning, was ok up to about mid evening then felt real shitty and stayed that way for about 48 hours. According to all reports this is pretty much normal. I'm still wearing a mask and distancing to prevent some kind of dust up if folks were thinking I was some kind of anti masker asshat but it is good knowing my chances now of getting this damn thing are really really really low.

As for loki's post, I prefer limes and will be into something similar this evening relaxing watching some playoff hockey!!

You know you can still carry the virus right? Like it’s less likely but you could still endanger others without wearing a mask

First shot April 12...Second June 3....not a bad timeline.

So today, 24 hours after the fact.....a wee little bit of swelling around the jab site, but that's it.

Getting my second shot of Pfizer this Sunday. Not worried about side effects. Haven’t had a cold, flu or anything since before COVID-19 was a thing so yeah, bring it on lol.

Absolutely! Each business has the right to impose any restriction(s) they choose, and i fully comply with their rules, but the vaccine is readily available (and oftentimes can be had by dropping-in to one of the many pharmacies) so those that opt not to take advantage of protecting themselves are now willfully at risk. My State/County has lifted the mask mandate for the fully vaccinated due to the high percentage of those having received the shot, so my 'smug' comment was more indicative of where we've come vs. showing-off.
If those that decide to NOT get the shot become infected (in the off chance) by the mask-less vaccinated, then they'll only have themselves to blame...there's no rational excuse not to protect yourself, (but I'm assuming rationality here :))

WOO I got my second shot yesterday! I feel pretty shit today but I'm stoked about being fully vaxxed. Anyone else have their second shot? How did you feel after?
I pfelt pfine after my second shot ( other than spelling things pfunny).

But maybe my body has built up a natural acceptance to Pfizer products given the hundreds of Pfiagra I’ve popped in my life?

What about people who can’t get the shot because of medical reasons? Or the fact that it’s not 100% effective? 🤔

For those w/either comorbidity or other condition(s) preventing their use of the vaccine, it would be incumbent upon them to take the necessary precautions. We can only mitigate so much...and it's possible I fall into that unfortunate 0%-6%, but that's the risk I'm willing take (not unlike my choice to exceed the speed limit, or partake in this 'hobby'...I hate that term BTW). I guess what I'm saying is that we all engage in behavior (I'm in The US) that's risky, and those w/a lower tolerence will behave more conservatively while others won't...clearly by being vaccinated, I'm in the 6% (at worst) and my actions reflect that.

How are those under 70 able to get their second dose? I know people in their 50s and they can't get their second dose until August (16 weeks after the first dose).

I got my second shot in the US months ago. They’re literally giving it away on street corners down there. ( and they insist on a 2nd shot within 2 weeks of the first None of this 4 month BS)

I know lots of people who took 2 week vacations in the US, got their 2 shots, came back, did their 14 day quarantine and were fully protected months ago

How do you get a shot, especially to a Canadian?
Do they sell them at Walgreens or CVS?
