Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2024?
Who else is a bit dubious that they will be the Democratic nominees? I cringe when I hear Biden sound bites. He is sounding more like one of those old crazy muppets in the balcony every day. Kamala is out there somewhere but clearly the DNC are not promoting her as a potential President should something happen to Joe.
Should they consider alternatives or is it too late to change nominees?
Last thing I want to see is return of the MAGA’s in Washington. Please make America a good neighbour again.
For what it’s worth here is one US hero that would be up for the job. Everyone loves a hero and Admiral McRaven sure knows how to give a great speech! He’s a Democrat too.

Bear in mind Biden has a serious stuttering issue and it affects his public speaking.
John Turner was a terrible public speaker and he sounded totally different one on one. Same with Justin Trudeau.
Kamala Harris is a disappointment for the Dems. She is competent but lacks charisma.

I’m aware of his stuttering affliction as it was well documented in PBSFrontline The Choice 2020. Props to Joes mom who confronted a Nun who mimicked Joe telling her “I’ll knock your bonnet off if you embarrass my son”.
It’s not the stutter I think it’s more of losing track of what he’s saying and going tangental with a different set of thoughts. It’s a concern I’m sure any Democrat faces with Team Joe Versus Team Maga.
AOC is a good choice. Very quick and smart too. She would handle any debate easily with any of the Republicans. Literally any!
Dems do have some tough smart members of Congress. Katie Porter absolutely knows all things financial with her white board and the stunned finance and pharma types. Obviously very well researched and explained during her time allotments.
It seems with the Republicans in a state of chaos and the Democrats being unable to capitalize on their advantages with their Pres and Vice Pres. The next election could be very close whereas it really should be an outright victory given the Republicans Presidential candidates.
It's great watching her catch GOP members blatantly lying or making up nonsense.
She doesn't just call them names, she actually backs everything up with facts.
The largest number of "useful idiots" in Canada are the ones who give their blessing to anything the USA does or says.
Going well "whatabaout" some other nation with deceitful or brutal leaders out there in the rest of the world does not negate it.
People are always looking for the simple binary of "one side bad, therefore other side must be good". Nope. There are no good guys.
The world is full of treachery. Every great power and many minor ones lie and murder their way towards greater power. Those they cannot lie to, they buy off; those they cannot deceive or buy, they destroy.

The Dems have never really owned up to how much suckage they have inside their own party. Since 2016, I think their game plan has been "they other side are a bunch of openly crazy & evil scumbags, you if you do not want that, you have to accept whatever candidates we give you". Well yes, the other (GOP) side demonstrates more and more every day that they are a bunch of crazy evil scumbags, eagerly doing things that 20 years ago would be career-enders, and which 50 years ago mean doing prison time.
But the part about voters having to swallow whatever well-connected mediocres the DNC coughs up did not work in 2016, so why would it work wonders in 2024? Biden's administration might have done overall positive things, but nobody thinks he's up for another 4 years except himself and his own inner circle; the party members are also not enthusiastic about VP Harris being "automatically next". Never mind what mud the GOP throws at them, I think the Dems have painted themselves into a corner. They do not think they can lose to a GOP that proves itself more crooked, deranged, and dysfunctional every day. Well, how's that assumption actually panning out? (Hint: It's not.) Clearly, VIRTUE is not deciding elections, so they better get themselves a backup plan, ASAP.
The baffling thing is, like you pointed out, there are examples of better, more charismatic, more gutsy candidates in their party, but the DNC brass seems allergic to actually choosing them. It's not a matter of being "too radical", because:
1) They could have the most DINO moderate as the candidate, and still be called "radical, far left" by their shameless GOP opponents; they get zero credit for being reasonable & bipartisan, ever;
2) There is zero evidence that voters turn away from strong ideology rather than towards it; even the swing voters (if those even exist) seem to appreciate people with some strength of conviction, "tough talk for tough times".
Anyway, I hope the Dems get their shit together, because frankly, barely hanging on while waiting for the other side to come to its senses is not a sound strategy. It's wishful thinking, and does not jibe with any of the times they have actually won elections.
I agree but considering how fast the last thread about the very volatile situation got shut down it was decided to keep this as a USA political thread.

I like what he has to say, he puts out both sides of the issue and states where he is on the subject.
I would definitely say he dosen't like leftist ideas or Marxist ideas or the people on the woke band.
The topic is the stabbing in Ireland of kids by an Irish citizen, who happens to be from Nigeria/Algeria. The riots that happened afterward. Eventually leads to the immigration issue in Ireland and Europe and the US.
Alot of his conversation leads back to American politics/ideas.
What amazed me was a comment about immigrants in France stabbing white kids.
Part of the conversation was on "Should migrants become part of the culture of their new country". Shared values, institutions etc.

To confuse the court case he goes after the judge and the court's clerk. The judge puts out a gag order, Trump gets a stay of the gag order and immediately goes after the judge and the clerk again. But not only them, he goes after the clerk's family.
Going after another person's family, that is so very fucken low. Trump is being a world class cocksucker.
