My large paychecks and the unusual friendliness of female bank tellers

Last Valentine's Day, a female teller asked me if I had any plan for that day, I told her no plan, then she said she didn't have any plan, either and then gave me this sweet, innocent look and her voice sounded like she was hoping someone would ask her out... Well, I was a wuss because I didn't ask her out at the end...

Not that bank tellers are usually unfriendly but I notice everytime I bring my US dollars paychecks to Royal Bank to deposit them, the bank tellers (the female ones) would be extra friendly to me. Regardless their ages, ethnicity, the girls would smile, chitchat, ask me personal questions and try to flirt with me, even the married ones with rings on their fingers. Do some of you gentlemen experience this sometimes?

Let me tell you just a few of my encounters.

Today, I went to my local branch to deposit my paycheck, a female teller asked me what I do for a living, smiled the whole time, told me about her Christmas, asked me about my holiday and flirted with me.

Last month, a blonde teller complimented on my good handwriting, flirted with me and gave me her business card.

And to the OP, they are not flirting with you. They are trying to make sure you give them a good survey if you receieve a phone call.

Isn't that if you are earning paycheque for a living in Canada, they will pay you in Canadian $? And if you are working for an established and good organization, don't we get direct deposits - this is 21 century, for Christ Sake!

By the way, I don't ask the teller purposely to give me my balance, if I have that much money in my account, I just need to deposit it - asking for an acct balance while you know you have a large sum of $ in the acct is just bragging - sorry, not my style.

I see no point in this thread at all - except that the OP tried to tell us that he's RICH - but only saw one SP in two years - (being an employee - NOT the EMPLOYER) OR that he's GOOD LOOKING and all banktellers wanted to hot sex with him (btw, did you get free sessions with the SPs because your look)?

Why were you so surprised of $25 grand in the acct? Did you believe it was a very large amount - given your original post? The tellers would flirt with you if your income is six figures or more and your acct is in millions, and again, who needs to line up in the bank if you got that much in the acct? you will get the VIP service right away...

Hi, if the tellers were male, they would often try to promote visa cards, Guaranteed Investment Certificates or chequing/saving accounts with better rates and etc. Their reason is usually that "With this kind of balance sitting in your chequing account, you won't be making any money, would you like to invest in..." or "I see your visa cards does not earn you any point, would you like to upgrade it to..." and etc.

The original thread can be considered most hilarious and ludicrous of the year, if you have a large balance sitting in your acct (checking) it sure will give you a high percent interest, unless you have less than $5000 in your monthly balance.
In addition, it would be stupid not to have any investments - again, most of people with big income are carrying charge cards, not credit cards - leave alone cc without the rewards. This thread just cracks me up...well, it's a good way to start my day...I guess.

My final conclusion on the OP's thread:

- during the time the OP brought his pay cheque of US dollars to his bank for deposit - the bank tellers were actually laughing at him for what a fool he was by collect US currency at that time it was lower than Canadian.

Here's my conclusion - the Riches usually don't have to brag and they don't even write anything like this on the website as they know how much they have and they don't need others to know - only the ones don't have much are the ones always brag about $. That sounds sad, but it's the truth.

Did we ever see Bill Gates, or Mr. Jim Patterson showing up on TV or news saying they have so much so that they bring the cheques to the bank to deposit $, NOT A CHANCE.
