My large paychecks and the unusual friendliness of female bank tellers

Forgot to mention...

I did get dates with two different Canada Trust tellers the next week after I deposited a six figure cheque from an ICBC settlement I received a few years ago.

Nothing happened but they asked me out. This was after many weeks of me pondering humming and hawing and being too chicken to make the first move with either of them.

I also bank at RBC and have had the same experience with the tellers. They look at my cheques, raise their eyebrows and get very friendly.
I am glad there are a few more gentlemen here who know what I am talking about and can relate... SexyBoy, randylahey, Simonnn and Auld Ball. :(

ahh my sister has one of those..... The black ones are ultra rare like 5,000,000 or more
I never knew the black ones exist. :)

You see? Another poster telling his life experience despositing a HUGE cheque? Is he bragging. No, just reminding us how women are GOLDDIGGERS. Nothing new, just a reminder.
Thank you, buddy. :(

Now, I must ask to the guy who starteed all this, have you secretly attracted quality SP service to your self?
No, I haven't. I just enjoy the treatment from those bank tellers because it is nice to feel like somebody once in a while. :(

Not that bank tellers are usually unfriendly but I notice everytime I bring my US dollars paychecks to Royal Bank to deposit them, the bank tellers (the female ones) would be extra friendly to me. :) Regardless their ages, ethnicity, the girls would smile, chitchat, ask me personal questions and try to flirt with me, even the married ones with rings on their fingers. Do some of you gentlemen experience this sometimes? :)

Let me tell you just a few of my encounters. :)

Today, I went to my local branch to deposit my paycheck, a female teller asked me what I do for a living, smiled the whole time, told me about her Christmas, asked me about my holiday and flirted with me. :)

Last month, a blonde teller complimented on my good handwriting, flirted with me and gave me her business card.

Last Valentine's Day, a female teller asked me if I had any plan for that day, I told her no plan, then she said she didn't have any plan, either and then gave me this sweet, innocent look and her voice sounded like she was hoping someone would ask her out... :) Well, I was a wuss because I didn't ask her out at the end... :(

I am not rich or anything but I do make above average income and receive a large paycheck in US dollars every two weeks. Maybe if I make more then perhaps the girls will jump over the counters. ;)
I've always found that when I'm at a bank (not that it's all that often, as most transactions are electronic now) the tellers are a bit more friendly than in the past. Is this because of the large transactions? I WISH! :) They're respectable, but nothing that would erect a Trump Tower.

I'm not an unattractive guy, but I put the extra attention down to this: how many people do these tellers see now? Other than the little old ladies that couldn't figure out a bank machine with a detailed instruction manual and someone at their elbow to punch the keys? Who do they see other than old men who'se CP cheques are liable to pay off only the over-drawn charges on their meagre attempts at keeping their heads above water?

I think these poor women/men are starved for attention! People, let's give them a break! Once a month, VISIT your bank! Pick the best looking teller, male or female, and make them feel WANTED! (SP's: I'll leave that definition to your discression! :p )

Free the tellers, I say! Let the tellers be PEOPLE again! :D

Cheers, and have fun!

things that make you go...... hmmm.....

So if I understand this correctly, when some of you bring a bank teller a large check (such as a six-figure ICBC settlement, some allegedly "large paychecks", or whatever impressive winfall), you get more friendly banking service, a smile, a little of flirting, or even perhaps a date sometime in the future. Hmmm..... but see, when I bring a sp a mere $300 cash (quiet often even less), I get BJ, FS, cowgirl, doggie, MSOG all right at the spot everytime. Things that make you go..... hmmm...... ;)

Maybe you should learn to read between the lines. He isn't bragging. He's relating a story of how women treated him better because of his big cheque. Without his big cheque they would treat him like shit. How is that bragging?
Of course he's not bragging.

All of us pooners talk on this board about our financial assets, big paychecks, big bank accounts, good looks and the sexual desires these pretty bank tellers have for our charismatic behaviour. Just search under "Rich Pooners" and you'll find hundreds of posts. Yah - right !!!!

Also Timid, in todays very competitive banking business, I don't think there are many tellers who treat their customers like shit because they don't have big paychecks, not the best behaviour towards job security.

A couple of Visioneast's "humble" comments - if you read between the lines. (What lines??)

Quote: Like my income, my looks is above average as well.

Quote: Yes, I just love the way those hot female bank tellers lust over me but can't have me.

I had a bank teller flirting with me once when I was working for Vern's Pizza. She thought it was weird how I was working there and had like $25 grand in my bank account lol

I have low self-esteem and what I do for a living does not let me meet people often so it is nice to be treated like somebody important once in a while you know. :(

So why did you have $25 grand in your bank account?

Must be the particular staff.

I deal with a few banks.

I get better service and friendlier reactions in the one with the least money. The bank where I hold the most substantial assets are businesslike and courteous, but not overly friendly.

I know the tellers have quotas and rewards/prizes for the most rrsp customers, visa cards etc. It's pretty much always been like that. I always find them personable and quite friendly, and then almost always more so after they bring up the accounts and of course the sales pitches or "have you thought about..." start up. They must have some guideline of balance available or something. It must bug them to see money wasting away in a stagnant ch/savings not being used for something. No one has ever tried to date me though. I guess they lust after higher earners or better looking customers. Thank goodness for SP's :)

I can say I know of two similar instances.

1) When I was married (20 years ago), I banked at the Royal Bank, which was across from my workplace. One bank teller seemed very friendly and I never thought much about it. I did remember her face though. Later in the week, my now (ex) wife and I went out for supper to the Keg. Lo and behold, who was our seating hostess, but my very friendly Royal Bank teller. She seemed to almost be hitting on me. I thought she had balls, considering my wife was standing right beside me!

2) A friend of mine was dealing at his local CIBC and ended up dating the bank teller. He was going through a divorce, her marriage wasn't that secure as well, and they both went out together. He even went and picked her up from her place with her husband standing there ! They dated for two years.

I think it is called "customer service" staff are told to treat higher worth customers better. They may or may not be interested in you but the more money you have the better the service. That is driven by head office policy and the staff are monitored to deliver.

I have heard from so many women in the service industry that men are constantly confusing friendly service for interest in them personally.

I think a lot of it has to do with presentation. On occassion, and it doesn't happen often, I have to wear a suit...when I do, I get a lot more attention and prolonged looks from the ladies than when I normally wear acid wash jeans (YAY 80's) and a hoodie.

Just the appearance of having money/job/stability makes you somewhat more attractive I suppose...cause normally I'm like a troll. I'm wasting what's left of my youth dressing for comfort instead of dressing to impress.
