I realize that some escorts are indeed VERY professional & good at their job but, why do Escorts constantly compare themselves to Lawyers, Accountants (CGA), Psychologists & other professionals in the marketplace who all have a MINIMUM of 4 years University education not including their undergraduate education.
Escorts aren't the ones who constantly bring this up, pooners do with the age old and oft repeated question: why do sps think they should be paid as much as blah blah blah. I see you didn't disappoint by bringing it up here lol. A good sp doesn't start out good, btw. She has to put in time, experience and learn skills to elevate her to another level (example Misty last year vs Misty this year).
Are you saying there is an apprenticeship for SP's whereby they serve for a period of time then are allowed to charge higher rates based on her proven reputation for service?
Misty this year is better than last year?
I know several SP's who ENTER the business at $250-$300 p.hr. (no prior experience as a so called "professional")
My point is that there are established pay scales in the marketplace based on education & type of occupation.
An SP complaining about NOT making 3 & 4 times the average man or womans income just seems ridiculous to me when they do not have the education nor the training that others have completed.
Why do Escorts think their bedroom skills are equivalent to a university degree?
Most Masters degreed professionals are earning between $55,000 & $75,000 per year.
Why should an escort earn 2 & 3 times that?
Why shouldn't she? How much do you think it costs her to make that much & do you really believe she can earn that much for 30-40 years, as this degreed professional can and will?
How much do I think it costs an escort to make $300phr. ? - Not much really.
I personally know several earning $200-$300phr who have no advertising, no separate incall, no extra clothing dedicated to the biz etc. Their adverts come from word of mouth or a post on CL.
They happen to be smart about the business & use it to provide an income & save and invest the money they are making because they know they will not be doing this forever.
So why do you think that spending ridiculous sums of money is a requirement to be an escort?
Take a look at the average of salaries here:
yawn
Take a look at the salaries of athletes, movie stars and so on. Short shelf life = higher salaries.
So now escorts are on the same level as professional athletes & movie stars???
News flash!! - athletes spend years developing their skills & it costs lots of money to get there.
Movie stars have to spend time in acting school or in the rare cases such as Cameron Diaz, they get lucky because of their looks & turn out to be good at acting.
Keep in mind FO that for every 1 "star" athlete or actor there are thousands who never get that lucky break & are relegated to the ranks of being a player but never a "winner".
It's luck of the draw sweet cheeks so if you wanna improve your odds when you gamble you need to hedge your bet with education & training.
Now from what I am inferring in your reply, you are insinuating that ALL escorts are deserving of the "Short shelf life = higher salaries" right of passage?
Is there no training, education or steps of advancement in the escort profession?
One other thing, I have had sessions with a few older gals in this business, one of them being the famous squirter "Red Hot Leanne" who had continued being an escort up to her late 50's before retiring & her only regret then was that she did not start younger & have a longer career in the biz.
I have had countless gals tell me they are educated & have a degree that they don't use but only one has been willing to show it to me.
And this is your business how. I can't believe any sp would allow themselves to be
bullied into showing anything with their real name on it.
Bullied?
BULLIED?
Have we met?
Are you insinuating that I am a
threatening person?
That claim has been levied against me by much more savvy fems than you.
Those who have met me & there have been several in the last 6 months, will attest that I am remarkably congenial & polite.
I am not knocking escorts but merely pointing out that for those who do not have a degree, you should not be discounting those who have spent the effort, time & money to get one.
Again, the sps don't do this, the guys who constantly compare their fees with degreed fees do this.
Actually, that is not true FO, I have sat in my car & listened to many SP's tell me how they live a lifestyle & own property, cars etc. because they are making much more than those who have laboured to earn their degree.
I make an above average salary & have been told by some that "too bad I was not born a cute girl so I could make as much as I (they) do."
The attitude which I perceived was one that they were
the REAL smart ones & those who wasted all the years of school just to earn one half to one fifth of what an escort makes are foolish.
In these trying economic times some may find that not having a traditionally acceptable skill set may be to their detriment.
I work with peeps who mostly have Masters & PhD's & I can say without reservation that they are VERY intelligent & mostly hard working people who help keep Canada on the leading edge of technology & development in their profession.
And I am sure that many of us have worked with or for such people with masters and phds who are NOT intelligent nor hard working.
How utterly naive!
Just to get a degree, especially a masters or PhD, requires an above average level of intelligence & work ethic.
This is not to say that after achieving their degree a person can not just rest on their laurels.
Escorts can charge $3000 per hour if they want but at that rate they are quite limited in their prospective clientèle.
I think that is the
point of higher rates.
These days may prove to be more challenging than most escorts on all levels had anticipated. A strategy re-think may be in order for some.
Those who know how to market themselves will do well as long as the service matches the advert.
Isn't that the number one problem with the low rate sps? They cannot afford advertising, photo shoots, nicer surroundings, etc, and therefore they themselves do not match their ad. Complaints about the surroundings are common.
Some escorts are not so presumptuous as to assume that all of the above are needed to be an SP.
But, as you have so aptly stated there are some who want everything up front & in all it's glory.
That shows the mentality behind such individuals...
some expect the riches & glamour without putting forth the requisite time & effort to earn it.
Some depend on obtaining their desires by seducing those who have earned it.
Well correct me if I'm wrong here but all the above expenses are a part of doing business & if it is required for doing business then it is 100% tax deductible!
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but in order to be tax deductible, the
expenses have to be spent first. Which mean you have to have it in order to spend, and it has to be spent. Who cares if you can declare it later, it still has to be paid out monthly. You don't get money back, you just have to pay a little less in taxes lol. That's like the price after refund deal.
And this makes SP's different than others how?
I do not get to deduct till tax time either!
That does not mean I get to use it as an excuse to jack my rate up.
Please have these gals forward their receipts for said expenses
Why? Are you planning to cover all of these expenses for them, so you can justify that they aren't needed after all?
I would bet they are not ALL
needed but as I have stated before,
wanted.
Any mature adult should be able to differentiate between needs & wants.
And this brings me to the conclusion of my response;
An escort can charge whatever she wants but let's be honest with ourselves.
The money an escort gets comes from men & sometimes other women, who work hard for that money.
This is of course excluding the drug dealers & gang members who frequent & in some cases control the business.
The escort business & especially prostitution are not considered a legitimate business & operate on the fringes of legal commerce.
There is no educational requirements for becoming an escort.
There is a faction of this which does require training but that is in Japan & you would be called a
Geisha.
I am certain that few here would have the intestinal fortitude to endure the life of a Geisha.
Nor are there many who even understand what one is.
This is an occupation that the ladies who are involved in either make by choice or out of servitude.
It is the oldest profession & it is & always will be considered illegitimate.
That is the context in which an escort must work.
There are inherent psychological impediments this line of work can impose upon the practitioner.
It takes a strong willed & unusually accepting psyche to do this type of provision for clients who are seeing you for a multitude of reasons but the one common denominator is intimacy.
I applaud those FEW who have mastered this field of work & who are professional providers of such a basic human need.
The reward of those who touch & heal those suffering from a lack of intimacy are that what they do is akin to a nurse caring for a sick patient.
They are like angels to our suffering society.
I abhor those who use this profession to take advantage of clients seeking intimacy & care nothing for them other than to scheme a way to pilfer as much money as possible from them with the hope of not providing the service being advertised.
I will continue to be an advocate of the honest providers & ...
A ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS TO THOSE SELFISH, INSINCERE RIP-OFF ARTISTS WHO FREQUENT THIS OCCUPATION!!!
Cheers
Your friendly neighbourhood Krustee.
