I don't knowThere doing pretty good for a team that's missing 5 guys from their line up.
+1
Eddie Lack looked solid tonight too.
What a jerkoff Jackman was after we got the winning goal too. Cool heads prevailed tonight

Yah. Stork was worthy tonite. Jackman? He's had a bee-in-da-bonnet for the nucks ever since Bertuzzi introduced him into next week back in what? 2006. He definitely has some history with Kesler. Good to see some discipline (a lot better than an "own goal" on a PP).+1

Haha, no matter what I say in frustration on here, I will never turn my back on the Rangers. It's been 48 years of living and dying through thick and mostly thin with this team. Loyalty is one of the most important things in life to me and so it is with NYR. But I definitely have a softer spot for the Canucks with Torts at the helm.OMG MiS!
I just knew you would come around and root for the right team eventually![]()
The Caps are a really bad team.Is ov and washington gonna come into town all rev'ed up and kick our ass.
we will be lathargic after a rest ......hmmmm?
this will show if Torts is the coach we all hope he is and actually lights a fire under their asses and gets them up for the game.
the old Canucks would Bomb......
They're currently down 3-1 to Calgary after the first. The Caps have won 3 straight and are 5-5 on the season so there are a lot worse teams.
Then again, they did lose to the Rangers ... But that Ovechkin, Backstrom and Johansson line is one of the hottest in the league. Mike Green is back to his old self.
Should be a good game vs. Canucks.
The have a great PP, not much else. If the Canucks stay out of the box, Washington should have a tough night. They're currently down 3-1 to Calgary after the first.
You seriously just lost all credibility there.I went to last night's game. It was a pretty good game. I will jump on the Tortorella bandwagon as soon as he starts benching and calling out Edler. You kind of see him lose battles on TV, but, it's not as obvious due to cut aways/change of angles etc. But when you can see the whole thing play out on live tv, it's infuriating. I counted 4 lots battles to the puck in his zone. And these weren't 50/50 toss ups either. It was battles he should have no problem winning. Yet he lost them. I can't believe he's an NHL player. He was the reason why the Canucks were pinned in their zone. It's like he's terrified to get hit.

He had covered the puck with his hand in the defensive zone. Delay of game penalty, pretty new. You're right. I totally lose credibility because I can't believe a defenseman who continually gets beat in puck battles and races in the defensive zone--despite being sometimes as much as 3 strides ahead of the closest attacker-- is still in the NHL when it's clear he slows down to let the forward pass him so he avoids getting hit. I forgot those were traits people like in a defenseman. Or, you know, he decides he'd rather eat the puck and try and protect himself from a body check (which once again results in him losing the battle and the puck) than fire it hard around the boards to the open winger and get hit an inch from the boards. And don't get me started on how he doesn't take out his man infront of the net. Though, I will say he isn't the worst on the team for that. Hamhuis has that title locked at the moment.
Unrelated, but, last night Torts said Kassian had just an OK game. I thought he was pretty good last night. The only bad thing I saw was Kassian's penalty, which I thought was kind of suspect. Did anyone see something Kassian was doing wrong last night?
what I can't figure out is......if Henrik's goal was disallowed cuz Daniel interfered with the goalie....why didn't Daniel get a penalty?
I must be missing something her.
maybe , but.....will the refs call Crosby for a super weak hook in overtime?Good sir, I assure you, it always evens out. It seems to me the past 4 or so years, the Canucks have scored goals on Edmonton and Calgary that counted when they shouldn't/both teams have legit goals scored that were disallowed.
Bad reffing will happen because there are bad refs and refs can have bad nights. The really good teams are still able to overcome said shitty officiating most times and pick up the win.
