Obviously the two of you don’t understand the rules and that, in theory anyway, that the rules should be applied to both teams not only the Canucks.

You do understand that losing a tooth (as in there was blood) should be a 4 minute penalty right? Bieksa also got 2 minutes for the equivalent of cutting someone off in a merge lane. You can call that fair? Do you also vote conservative, watch fox news and find other ways to deny reality?

I have seen the Canucks get the better end of a call like the disallowed goal a few days ago, but I’d guess it to be at a 4-1 ratio.
4 B.S. calls against for every 1 B.S. call for them.

You’re right goo, it’s just not hockey when a team (in this case my team) is simply not allowed to win.
you gotta hit to win sometimes....
or at least to GET goals.
perfect example was last game , they hit behind the goal , took a man out of play and bingo bango bongo....a goal ....
I think if they lose this one tonight you can kiss them goodbyeeee for any chance of a playoff spot.

Worrying about the playoffs in November is like stressing out over doing your Christmas shopping in April.

Might I remind you that in the last full season (2011.12) Minnesota was curb stomping every team and was first in the league until the end of December. And they managed to miss the playoffs. They drafted 9th OA that year, so they weren't even a bubble team at the end. It's a long season, a lot can happen.

Funny, you were making a lot of statistical assessments like they had some meaning when they were winning, now, when they are losing it's, "November games don't mean much".

Jesus Christ, context dude. Winning games is important but if you're going to lose, it's better to slump early as opposed to March.

Why do I even bother.

Apparently, some sacrifice has been made to Goalscorius the Great. The Nukkies have scored more than 2 goals and it's not even midway through the second frame in Ottawa :clap2:

Tonight's game really shows how weak and wide open the Eastern game is. The difference in checking/defence between the Kings and Senators is so noticeable, when its in consecutive games like this.

As a Canucks fan, that hurts.
Painful but true.
LIJ - Torts and the Canucks rolling into the World's Most Famous Arena for a date with my Rangers on Saturday morning. Any predictions on this one? Rangers on back to back after playing Bruins on Friday morn and coming home after a five-game roadie. Might be a chance for the Canucks to actually score a regular-season goal against NYR (think the last one was 4 years ago).:p

I am thinking that I’ll be hammered by the time the game starts.
The Rangers are one of the original six and my tin foil hat tells me we are in for some very biased reffing.

We’ll have to see who is teasing who after it’s done ;)
Haha, lol ... No drinking but I am gonna watch hockey till my eyes bleed the next 2 days. 2 Rangers morning games, two Penticton Vees home games, Leafs-Habs on HNIC. And my Brit soccer team on TV Sat. at 7 a.m. And the NY Jets on NFL Sunday. But lots of nutritious eating and workouts in between. And a dinner date before tonight's Vees game. Oh and maybe the Canucks-Canes game on Sunday in the a.m. It just started snowing here 5 minutes ago so it's a good time to get the sports outta my system.
LIJ - will see you for a bevvy before Rangers at Canucks game in April. Got my tickets lined up already. :thumb:

Booth redeems himself for another game.
Yep. There's nothing like a stint in Palooka-ville for improving ones game.

Also, congratulations to Daniel Sedin for his 300th career goal.
Woo hoo! I was hoping to see it against them Konigs but that's a great milestone for good old 22.

Weise is still on fire. :clap2: Hopefully the Burr gets his mojo back soon.

with the new restructuring , they have to worry in november.
if they had slipped last night and gone from 5 points out to seven , then eight points is near impossible to climb out of.
nice win last night , glad to see Booth get a goal , get him a couple more then maybe we can unload his overpaid ass.
package him with Edler (who most teams would love to have) and give to get ... a young strong goal scorer.
last night they hit a bit and when they did they got a few goals..... duhhhh!!!
i missed why Torts went off on Hansen? what was that about?

Wow, talk about a sport nut.
Getting whipped and walked on I can deal with, but watching that much sport is just plain freaky :fear:

If you’re in as good shape as it sounds, you’ll be taking point in that bar brawl we start, just be sure to wear your jersey and so will I ;)

Only get these sports crazes once in a while. Getting whipped and walked on, etc, etc, etc (by the right lady;)) I could handle 7 days a week and twice on Sunday!

I like your chances in a bar brawl LIJ, in spite of appearances, I'm still an old man, lol. I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to wear my Rangers jersey to Vancouver without a bodyguard. I'd hate to trigger another riot. There are still people round here who haven't forgiven me for 1994. :)

LOL, it's not hard to take on the Pillsbury Dough Boy so bring an extra Jersey for me and we'll see how long we can last covering each others back.

Shhhhh.... That's why I want him in a Jersey ;)

Sounds good. I'll bring my Messier Rangers jersey, whoever draws the short straw can wear that one. Good luck getting outta Rogers Place in one piece! :fear:

Vigneault 1 Torts 0. But I would never gloat. Geez though, Rangers on B2B and it's the Canucks who look tired. Surprised, but very happy! :clap2:
you obviously dont follow hockey much or forgot about a Rangers game played in Vancouver.

but yes , that was a REALLLLLY shitty preformance from the Canucks.
I will say again , no physical game , equals no goals.....
they are softer this year than ever.
I got a hun says they will not make the playoffs

They have to get two points per game consistently and not many single points or they will be done by end of January.

I have said many times their lack of grit won't get them anywhere.

Who woulda ever thought the only teams to make the playoffs in the west would all be from California? I guess the wildcard will go to a non-California team but wow!

goo, I wish I didn't watch so much hockey sometimes but it is part of the job description lol. I remember that game all too well but I'm reticent to categorize pre-season games as relevant. But hey I'm willing to go along and say that the game in Van. on April 1 will be the 'rubber match'. Also, that was mighty nice of the Canucks to roll over for the Rangers and then beat the Rangers division rival the next day. Canucks are definitely becoming one of the NYR allies, lol. ;)

Actually I think most people penciled in all 3 Californian teams to be top 3. With most people expecting the Canucks to take 4th, with a chance at higher, if Anaheim under performed.
