The longer you're in this lifestyle... ...the harder it is to leave
Dating lotsa souls you mean? (Leaving out the monetary societal judgmental aspect and odd diseases and what your kids would think of you if they knew, of course, that's what I'm sure you meant.)
That would be a resounding "Yes" to both the addiction and self-improvement aspect. The motivations and reasoning behind such choices are far more interesting, which this thread shows.
Going to church is a lifestyle, the same as gambling, or painting, or music, a trade, what have you. No one likes the Mormon door-knocking bible thumpers addicted to The Lord, but someone that studies many different religions and has gained a valuable world-view with their lifestyle choice is more cool.
So, the lifestyle is either a pointless addiction that really doesn't add much to your flavour to you as a human being or it is part of the never-ending maturing and refinement process. Then there are the accomplished privileged that view the lifestyle as part of their earned benefits, what possible reason would they want to "leave"?
The next question might be, knowing what you know now, would you want your kid to follow your path. For those who have been burnt by awful exes did not possess a great deal of worldly education before their unfortunate choice of a life partner, there is an aspect of what you learn about experiencing many dozens of individuals that lets you see first hand a wider range of low and highs of human existence so that BETTER LIFE CHOICES can be made when choosing someone to have kids and make memories with.
You learn quickly and cheaply the type of person that would screw you out of a few hundred dollars the path that led you to make such a shitty choice, versus choosing that same individual and not discovering until after getting married and having kids, that oops, bad choice. Ho-hopping is the bestest, cheapest, fastest-learned lessons ever, I say - PLUS you get your rocks off at the same time.
So, I would definitely want my kids to get their life-education that I now realize I never got, all-said-and done as quickly and efficiently, and safely as possible, then make sure they are well-equipped to EXIT any non-productive addiction aspect and move on with other more important and relevant, and life-cumulative events that result in photo and video memories that don't have to be burned at some point.
As for just plain fun, pursuing more interesting variations to keep life interesting, again, if one has a high mental or physical energy level, the choice to keep up the lifestyle would be pretty darn easy to say the lifestyle would be hard to leave.
Girls tell me about the variety of their clients that all have different reasons for seeing them, the wide variety of different kinks and so on, so it is pretty darn interesting to personally experience all the variety is out there. There certainly is no danger of getting bored if you have the right mindset.
