I watched Jurassic World tonight finally (downloaded it), surprisingly it was pretty good/scary :O however the dinos looked too over-done and fake, the old movie ones looked more real than these ones...

Grimsby is probably the grossest non porn movie I've ever seen, but is very funny.

Also, the action scenes are as good as any movie out there. Quite surprising.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was much better than I expected.

Tina Fey was really good in the lead and the soundtrack and cinematography were excellent.

The Jungle Book: (3-D) Brilliant stuff! It is amazing what they can do with CGI these days. The images are stunningly realistic. The story is well told and movie moves along fairly nicely. The kid has done an excellent job, especially considering he acted alone talking to no one. There is only one brief appearance by a human in the movie. The voice overs by Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray and Christopher Walken are excellent, esp the latter two. Bill Murray is lovable and funny as Bhaloo, the bear. By the way, character's name 'Bhalloo or Baloo' literally means bear in India, in fact Baghera means Panther and Sher, as in Shere Khan, means lion) They have incorporated underlying messages of environment and need for social harmony well smartly.

Overall a great movie to watch. Strongly recommended. (4.5 / 5.00)

Forsaken got limited release in theaters a few months ago and didn't do too well.

Captain America: Civil War

The movie itself was pretty good. As expected, a lot of action. | saw it in 3D IMAX. Damn it was expensive.

I am not sure if I like wearing those 3D glasses any more. The movie had a greyish tinge all around and it was often at times blurry.

As always, there was chatter during the movie by couples or idiots. Then of course I had some ADHD child behind me banging the seat for the first few minutes until dad had the kid switch places with him. All this reinforces why I don't like going to a movie or theater any more.

I guess this one, speaking in Pooner Terms, can be filed under YMMV? lol

On a serious note, I had the same crap happen to me too. A group of around 18+ girls around me just wouldn't shut up, but I didn't say anything, because the one sitting next to me had BIG boobs, ............

:)

I recently saw The Nice Guys. Its a nice throwback to buddy cop movies, lots of witty one liners and good story. From the guy who wrote the Lethal Weapon movies, Long Kiss Goodnight, and Predator.

saw it today,enjoyed it.

I've seen Midnight Special a couple of months ago in theaters by Jeff Nichols. It's a sci-fi ,father and son on the run drama mixed with a dash of the eerie of lets say The Twilight Zone.
Some critics have compared it to the 1984 movie Star man and the 1977 film Close encounters of the third kind.

The acting is good, Micheal Shannon is intense as always and Kirsten Dunst with movies like Lars Von Trier's Melancholia and now this film has matured into a fine actress.
I didn't love this film as his previous films Taking Shelter and Mud both damn good movies. It looks good visually and has a nice score. It just came up a little short story wise. Just needed something a bit more in my opinion. My problem i suppose.

It' a pretty good film I'd watch it again maybe have a different view, just did not hit me the same way his last two films did.
