I , Tonya...????
HOLLYWOOD is running out of material.....
Every second movie is based on superhero comic books, but you think an actual event, involving real people, that became an international event is not worthy?

I just recently saw Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and I gotta say it was legit. It was respectful, fun, funny, and it was essentially Breakfast Club gang gets sucked into a video game. Fast paced, hilarious, definitely worth seeing if you just want a humourous action adventure film. 8/10

The Shape of Water: Adult like fairy tale, weird shit, good if you like artsy fantasy films 9/10
Molly's Game: Too much voiceover, decent acting, 6/10
The Disaster Artist: Funny, even if you haven't seen The Room. Embellishes a few real life details 7/10

You heard it here first!

Go see Three Billboards outside Ebbing,Missouri

Just finished watching it. I am with you on the lead lady’s performance. Enjoyed it. It kinda goes into a different direction but great acting by main characaters and the rest of the cast as well. 8/10. Recommended.

Gary Oldman is a brilliant actor. Two days ago, there was a category on him on Jeopardy, my fav show!! It was something about how Gary Oldman dies in movies. lol. That is pretty incredible.
One of my favourite media pundits is Jon Avlon from The Daily Beast. He stated the other day on his Twitter that he has already seen The Darkest Hour 3 times & that Oldman absolutely deserves the Oscar.

I am DYING to see Jumanji: WTTJ, All the Money in the World, & of course, The Last Jedi.

on Netflix. A New Zealand production of the the Iranian Embassy hostage taking in 1980.

I enjoyed it a lot because they didn't turn it into an over the top hero rah rah, we got the hostages out minus one and all the bad guys were killed except one who went to prison for nearly 30 years. It was a lot of planning by the SAS all while the London Police tried to negotiate the return of the hostages.

The Diaster Artist.

Wasn't sure I was going to like it, and I didn't know about The Room before seeing it, but it's fawking awesome.

James Franco is fantastic in the role of the weirder-than-weird Tommy Wiseau, and becomes the guy, rather than parodies him. He just won a Golden Globe, and might pull off the Oscar, he's that good.

Movie is also hilarious.

As I noted earlier in another thread on this site, Franco is very good playing duel parts (identical twin brothers) in The Deuce.

There was some question, given a strange Instagram post on Golden Globes night by Ally Sheedy, whether The Deuce was getting a second season or not. It seems that the powers that be have chosen to believe Franco's very sincere rebuttal on the Late Show, so we will get to see further adventures from 42nd.

Yes, I did see the rebuttal (after I made my post above). It did seem sincere. I certainly hope that whatever Ally Sheedy was referring to blows over and that The Deuce is not cancelled.

"Look Who's Back" this is a german film that didn't get much attention, but I found it hilarious. Adolf Hitler wakes up in a park in Berlin and becomes a social media sensation. 8/10

"The Hitman's Bodyguard" a silly action buddy film, lots of shoot 'em up. 6/10

"First they Killed my Father" directed by Angelina Jolie.
The film starts out in English for the first minute....then switches over to Vietnamese.
You spend most of the time trying to figure out what the cast is talking about in the killing fields of Cambodia, while they slowly all starve to death...all the while raising food for their captors.
An excellent film, but sub- titles would have been helpful.

The Shape of Water. Really over-hyped fantasy with a fishman in the role of the Beast.

Looks good, and I was surprised to see how nice Sally Hawkins breasts and ass are.

I started to watch it but couldn't finish it... but I watched enough to notice Sally Hawkins' breasts and ass but I didn't watch it long enough to form an opinion. It looked interesting for sure.

They should've extended the masturbation scene (s). Yea everyday, she masturbates in tub before going to work.... that's kinda stupid, i mean why not do it AT work, during coffee breaks.

Because a coffe break is only fifteen minutes.....sometimes women take that long ,just to get their engine warm.
Unless of course their engine has been plugged in to preheat....then 15 minutes will do.

Molly's Game

I really enjoyed this film based on a true story of a former US skier who ran high end poker games for the rich and famous. Great script although very wordy for 2 1/2 hours by writer / director Aaron Sorkin.

I'd like to watch it again because there are so many things happening.

I absolutely love Jessica Chastain. One of the sexiest stars on the silver screen today. She is over 40 and looks fantastics. Goes to show a woman does not have to be in her 20's to be very attractive. She has been in a lot of great movies. If you have not watched "Lawless", do yourself a favor and watch it. All star cast including Tom Hardy and Jessica is great in it as well.

She hosted the most recent SNL ep and was great. Especially this skit:

Yes! Jessica Chastain is a great actress. Zero Dark 30, Lawless and now Molly's Game. All great films.

Plus being very attractive and can hold herself well in any rapid fire dialogue scene. Something not all the stunners can pull off.
