McDrasti is all they got, they are playing half the game and if one does not get on the scoreboard the game is won for the Canucks. The goalie situation is dire for them too.

I say go ahead and punch in a battle with Dallas with looks stacked top to bottom.
I totally agree. Playing your two top players 30 minutes a game might get them past Vancouver, but it looks like it will be Dallas next round. They'll need contributions from other lines just to stay close to them. Dallas is solid from top to bottom.

What are the predictions for today?

High scoring affair?

I feel their goalie situation has their whole team shaken

6-2 Canucks.

The Oilers blow it up next season and trade Kane, A top D and a 1st round pick for a franchise goalie.

Things are rougher in the playoffs. Pettersson, when he isn't falling down on his own, is playing afraid.

Woof.

We can't keep this turtle shit up, there's a bunch of dudes just "there". We need to switch shit up, especially with all these boys called up from Abby. It's time a few of our boys ride the pine.

Hard fought game with not much room out there to move around. I thought the Oilers D played well. I love how Tocchet isn't afraid to call out the players that need to step up. Proud of the way they fought back and tied it. I think it has been a classic series so far. Best out of three now with the Canucks still having home ice advantage.

The Oilers played much better team defence in front of a back up goalie. Something we see happen quite often with teams. Can they keep it up? I doubt it.

Canucks will also have a revamped game plan for the new look oilers who ran 4 lines this game. A much more sustainable game plan from Edmontons stand point but I expect Tocchet to came back with some interesting changes.

The wild card now becomes Pickard who looked good this game. I mean it's only 21 shots on goal but he made some good saves. This time around we need to change him through the first 40 mins and not just come to life in the 3rd.

Canucks in 6.

Petey needs to step it up or this is as far as we go. He went into a slump coming up to the end of the season and hasn't pulled out of it. But hey, its been a great and unexpectedly successful year as it is and its not over yet. Coming into this season who thought we would even be in this position. Its been fun and entertaining.

and considering we've yet to play our best game with all members contributing to their potential, it's impressive we've enjoyed success into the 2nd round.

i just remember the dominance of the west coast express or the last stanley cup run and it seemed like those teams were able to amp it up a few notches. gonna be a fun game tonight

If anyone saw the interview with Petey yesterday, he sounds so defeated.

He's clearly reading the comments, and knows he's being chewed out by the entire fan base (rightfully so). We need to help him rally out of this. Let's go Petey!

He is usually quite stoic at the best of times. I think there is a lot of gamesmanship being used at this time of the year, as well as putting out reports of people being injured, or not. Earlier in the series, I think it was game two when he tried a wrap around and could only make it part way when normally he might have scored tells me he has an injury to his upper body. The good news is he has at least two more games to make a difference. I expect the Canucks best game of the series tonight.

I like getting Hoglander back in there, that guy is meant for playoff hockey. Hopefully being benched has sent a message. They need to spend more time in the Edmonton zone getting on their D and also winning the five on five battle.

Great job by Tocchet in how he motivated the team mentally without calling anyone out by name, how he changed the lineup, and the strategy they used to shut down MacDavid.. Everything worked. He really deserves the Jack Adams no matter what happens from here on in. We have an excellent coaching staff. All the best to the Giuseppe family.

Oh and I should include the fans there last night. They were fantastic and instead of booing Petey were encouraging him and IMHO that really helped. Apologize in advance for quoting myself.

Agree with you on the Jack Adam's trophy, but I think the NHL only base it on the regular season.

Edmonton I think only has one line and an inexperience goalie.
