Please people, take a moment before you post in a thread you found in a search. Look at the date of the last post before the one you are making. Is it more than 6 months prior to today? If it's more recent, post away.
If so, leave the thread alone. Link to it if you want, but post a new thread. We have had a mini epidemic of necro posting in the past few days and it's very time consuming to correct, especially when others jump on.
There are good and valid reasons to let sleeping threads lie. Today, someone dug up a 7 year old thread, about a provider who has not worked anywhere in 5 years or more. She may well be on to a new life, with a family, straight job and the LAST thing she wants or needs is somebody "walking down memory lane" or worse, trying to dig up info on where she is now. Stalkers have been re-triggered, ladies have had to move, the list of unfortunate and unintended consequences can be long. More to the point, we have had this rule here since long before my time, and it will be enforced. Depending on the level and ill will of the post, it will mean at least an infraction and could be even worth a ban if the intent is malicious.
If you see someone who has done this, flag the post. Don't make it worse and pile on. Thanks from the mods.
