Ehrrrr....what? 1 in 5 gay men in Vancouver have HIV/AIDs

I always wondered..... homosexuals are generally supposedly more well-educated, informed peoples, etc.... so why would HIV/AID be more prevalent in that segment of the population?

Everest climber urged by sherpas to turn back because of fatigue

Rarely do bodies ever get recovered. The hike to the top of Everest requires you to basically stroll through a cemetery or two of corpses. The amount of effort and risk involved just getting up there and then spending even more energy bringing the body down (meanwhile trying to avoid some of...

Five charged after Chinese teen sells kidney to buy iPhone

Kinda fishy how they can't figure out who the recipient of the kidney was. A simple waterboarding or blackmailing of the suspects would be easy enough to figure out who has the kidneys. Any bets it's some high ranking official guy and that the case will end as soon as the kid is dead?

Milan Lucic supports friend convicted of road rage with letter to Vancouver court

Since that person was aggressive enough to get into an altercation with a weapon, the only shameful part is that he's still able to tell the tale. Punks like him probably wouldn't hesitate using violence against anyone, just this time he picked on the wrong guy.

    Sushi: The Global Catch

FYI the oceans make up 71% of the earth's surface and about 1.3 billion cubic KM total. Fresh water makes up only 0.003% of all water on this planet. It's practically impossible to even make a dent on the amount of water available. Nice try, there will be no problem of running out of water...

    The USA is done.

Well, I mean a no-holds bar hypothetical war where it's just armed forced of China vs armed forces of USA meeting in the middle of nowhere. In any case, Vietnam/Korea/Afghanistan did/is still just taking up just a small fraction of the overall US firepower.

    The USA is done.

In a conventional war, the US will still mop the floor with China 100 times out of 100. The Chinese may be improving by leaps and bounds, but they're still about 20 years behind the US. Everything "new" the Chinese have are replica of whatever the Russians or Americans had for a while, meaning...

The bureaucrats in Vancouver are such a-holes

Is it all because a couple of retards jump a gay couple who happened to live vaguely around the UFC event that was held on the same day?

    X-Box or PSP???

I think only the older model of the PS3 can play PS1/2 games. I think the latest edition of the console can't. I recommend that you pick one up in Japan. In Akihabara, a 2nd hand PS3 (older edition) was only like 150 bucks. In any case.... FF6 is better ;)

    Sushi: The Global Catch

New and cleaner technology will make any growth sustainable. If people can tap into geothermal/solar/wind more efficiently and economical and/or make nuclear power extremely safer than it is now.... it would solve tons of problem. Desalination is a simple and proven technology, but too energy...

One year past, Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

Ummmm... Nagasaki is almost at the exact opposite side of the country. Anyways... kudos to the Japanese people. There are tons of images seeing how much they cleaned up and fixed over the last year (or even the week after the event).... and then compare it to places like New Orleans, Haiti...

If you could kill someone and get away with it?

It depends on who. Being a vigilante and whacking someone who truly deserved to be killed, eg. serial killers, gangsters, child molesters, etc..... where do I sign up? Killing someone because they cut you off in traffic or something? That might be harder to justify with your own conscience.
