One year had past.
It was a long yet short year for us.

At 2.46pm local time (5.46am GMT), a year on from the moment the magnitude-9.0 earthquake struck, people across Japan bowed their heads and observed a minute's silence, while sirens sounded in the dozens of coastal communities still in mourning for the 15,800 people confirmed dead and 3,300 others still missing.

There are still little to medium size earthquakes happening in Japan here and there.

Right after the earthquake, I had a number of clients who donated money to support Japan.
With the bake sale I did with uvic students and Tshirts I made and sold, we made over $2,000 and that got a lot of people nice blankets and meals.

Thank you very much for all your warm hearts.

Please have one minutes of your time today to think about the lost souls and remaining souls who is still struggling with their lives after the mess.

My friend left Tokyo the day before this happened. Sure glad she made it here safe and sound. Unreal to see the suffering, the Japanese are a resiliant people.

I wish I could do more but I have only been able to donate instead of physically helping out. My heart aches when re-visiting all the photos that are on the various news website. The courage, relentless and caring spirit exhibited, deserved and will have more than 1 minute of my time.

I could not talk to them for a week after that happend as phone system got cut off.
I could not thank enough when I heard their voice.

Ummmm... Nagasaki is almost at the exact opposite side of the country.

Anyways... kudos to the Japanese people. There are tons of images seeing how much they cleaned up and fixed over the last year (or even the week after the event).... and then compare it to places like New Orleans, Haiti, etc, where they're still rebuilding after so many years.

Amazed at how the japanese people have come together and rebuilt so quickly. Not amazed at how people havn't learnt a lesson here and are raising epa radatiation safety levels instead of fixing these plants. Most of which are operating past their designed life of 20 years.
