Hey guys

I would like to try out an escort in Vancouver. But I am worried about getting arrested by the police because technically prostitution is illegal in Canada. I know that the Vancouver Policy Department stated that sex work between consenting adults is not an enforcement priority. So I have two questions for you guys.

1. Consensual sex work may not be an enforcement "priority" for the VPD. But does it mean that the VPD will not enforce this law at all? For example, suppose that the VPD comes to the escort agency for some other reasons (not related to sex work) and find you in the room. Is the VPD obligated to charge you?

2. What about Richmond, Burnaby or Surrey? Is the prostitution law enforced there? Many escort agency websites list girls based in those areas.

It would be great if I could enjoy in Vancouver. Otherwise, I would have to travel to Hong Kong, Singapore, or Japan, which is hard to do these days because of quarantine requirements. Also the trip is expensive.

I once read some old laws website that said if a police office pulls up on you have sex in your car they must honk 3 times and wait 5minutes before approaching the vehicle.

Not really. It's always been a charter protected activity.

Laws restricting it and their validity are a contested topic.
