If your knee-jerk reaction leaves you speechless, wait until you actually follow the link I created near the end and educate yourself to some of the information. That will leave you Shocked.wow... speechless.
I will choose to ignore your attempt towards a smug insult and reply as though you were speaking in earnest. Please keep in mind that while you may fundamentally disagree with me, I'm trying to always be polite and respectful with you, and would appreciate the same in kind. Thanks in advance.look man... you're obviously a very intelligent guy. but you got... some deep issues that you need to go talk out. with some kind of person whos a professional at such things.
While I feel almost everyone has at least some issues, I like to think I am in pretty good mental health. My psychologist is Dr Patrick Bartel; I've been seeing him for years, and he's amazing. I view my appointments with him the same as I view my regular gym visits, runs around the seawall, or my time writing music; basically it's part of my weekly routine towards overall health and well-being. He operates out of Boundary Plaza at Kingsway & Boundary, and if you're interested I might be able to refer you to him.
Of course we talk about lots of things, and while gender issues are far from high on the list, they have come up before. I recall it went something like this:
Me: So here's the way I see it... (blah blah blah my opinions about gender issues) ... It feels like the whole world thinks I'm crazy, like I'm some horrible misogynist or something. Am I so far off base, doc?
Dr Bartel: No, not at all; your thoughts seem mostly well thought out and you make some valid points. There are actually many scholars and thinkers who share similar views as you do. Have you heard of Dr Warren Farrell?
He then recommended I read some of Dr Farrell's work. He suggested that while my views might not be popular in current times, reading some of Dr Farrell's work and others like him would provide me with some validation as well as to expand my horizons and give me room to stretch my thoughts. Now, like Dr Bartel, I would like to recommend the same to you.
Try actually reading some of Dr Farrell's work, or watch a few of Dr Fiamengo's videos if that's more your thing, then get back to me and we can talk, if you wish. I don't just make all those links because I like the pretty blue color; I recognize my views are unpopular within broader society, therefore I provide citations to support my claims. I am always open to argument (in the Platonic sense,) but come equipped with more than "dude, you have issues," please, if you wish to contribute and have dialogue with me.
I try to make a clear distinction between opinions and facts, when I put myself out there in writing, even in a (somewhat) anonymous forum such as this. There ARE well-funded lobby groups working in Ottawa & in Washington, serving feminist agendas. This is not disputable; it is done openly and publicly. This is just one example. If you think anything I've written is in error, please point it out, and we can discuss, but you're going to have to put in the work.
