Sicario- Great Stuff! Brilliantly told story. Very well directed. Emily Blunt is outstanding. Benicio Del Toro never disappoints, I think he is one of the most underused actors. Josh Brolin is not too bad, he seems to be trying too hard to look too cool. Great cinematography. Overall a taut, sharp and intense movie. Loved it. 8/10.

For anyone with Netflix. This movie, Beasts of No Nation, is about African child soldiers is getting Oscar buzz for the film and the performance by Idris Elba as the rebel leader. It's pretty grim but worth watching.

Hard to watch but great acting by Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffalo playing an intense reporter with weird mannerisms, expression and body posture.

Fucking Catholic church kept promoting paedophiles. Don't think many did any time.

Love : I have seen some pretty sexy and erotic movies, but this one is on a new level. The movie is a love story and moves very ..sllll o www ly .. .But the girl is very sexy, reminded me a lot of Angelina Jolie. It is sexy or let me say .. explicit. Straight sex, lesbian sex, three some and then an orgy to top it off. Basically it shows genitals VERY clearly. Let me just say this is basically porn. Again, this movie is not about great acting or story telling, this movie, to me, was all about sex, lots of sex and explicit sex. Yes, cock grabbing, stroking, penetrating, cum spewing, fingering.. sucking.. ... and oh yea.. some kissing too. the movie has it all.

If you have pre-teens/teens, Tomorrowland is a great feel-good movie to share with them...sit back and enjoy. Don't overanalyze it - adults might think the messaging is too heavy handed toward the end. Directed by Brad Bird, one of my favorite directors and some of the work was done in Alberta and Vancouver. The 2 female leads are solidly written too, and the younger one is simply a delight to watch.

I really like the soundtrack too...awesome for the commute

Some very good movies came out in last two months and I missed The Martian. Finally I caught it and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Well directed, well shot and equally well acted. Matt Damon deserves an applause. It is intense and thought provoking yet the humor is well placed through out the film. Good movie.

The H8ful Eight. I enjoyed it . Some say its too long, i agree QT could have cut out 15 minutes and told the same story. But on the other hand if you go in with the idea as a slow burn movie you will enjoy it more. Jennifer Jason Leigh was a hoot, 7.9/10.

Spotlight:

You are bang on.

I just finished watching it and loved it. The director presents the story superbly. It could've been a turned into a thrilling drama, but it handles the subject of pedophilia in church very well. Mark Ruffalo is brilliant once again. I noticed him first in Foxcatcher. Rest of the cast is excellent including Michael Keaton. I strongly recommend if you like evenly paced movies with sensitive subject. i hope they get a nod at Oscars.

The Revenant: Finally, I caught this one. Brilliantly shot, very well directed, the locations are exquisite, the action is breathtaking in some scenes. But......... it's too long, despite being captivated by the visual treat, I couldn't help looking at my watch. May be it is was the dark, dreary, gory, cold feeling that the movie carries with it.

For my money the best actor in the movie was not Leonardo, it was Tom Hardy as the bad guy. He has impressed me in every movie I have seen him in. In my humble opinion, Leonardo is a very good actor and he was good in this role, but I felt that his role was tailor made for him and it was Tom Hardy who stole the scenes he was in. Overall a very good movie but extra extra long, but it is enjoyable nevertheless.

A Perfct Day was ok,dunno if I'd recommend.

Hateful 8 was a Tarantino gore-fest,enjoyed it, could've been shorter.
Revenant was great,tho it too could've been shorter.agree that Tom Hardy is a brilliant actor,catch him in Legend,playing both the Kray twins.I had to remind myself it
was the same actor doing both parts.

Deadpool: Somehow I just forgot to post the review.

BC boy Ryan Reynold is the super hero. The whole movie is fast paced, action packed, filthy, lewd, loud, rude, dark, twisted, against the grain, laugh at itself, funny and enjoyable one hour and 50 minutes of Vancouver filmed quite enjoyable ride. and.............. since this is Perb, I have to add Repeat : May be years down the road. Recommend: Yes, but remember it is not for kids.
