Topper raised an interesting point in another thread regarding his PERB handle. He had mentioned that he doesn't give it out for the purpose of references. I am wondering if anyone has had a negative experience where giving their handle out has bitten them in the ass by way of revealing their identity to an SP that is familiar with their posts/reviews etc.

Although I can see why Perb members hide their identities when booking... those who do so often make me think they have something to hide.
Some are offensive posters, who lash out and lack control... others are reviewers who want an unbiased session without pressure to review.
No doubt there are some who have made it to bad date lists, WOT lists, and such.
I think some are worried about discretion.
I think it is in the best interests of both parties to disclose your Perb handle.
I can determine by posts, whether we would be a good match or not. This can help the hobbiest avoid disappointment, and prevent the SP from having a not-so-steller date with someone incompatible... and avoid a bad date scenario.
As the olympics draw closer, more and more girls are starting to tighten up their screening proceedures. It doesn't have to be a bad thing

I agree with what Cara said but I'd like to add: It might be possible the men want a session that is real. Some woman put more 'airs' on if they know their client will or could review them.

I am always the same whether I know who you are or not. My goal is to have nothing but regulars, so I treat every person like they might become one. Board handles, just make me feel a bit more confident that the guy who is coming to visit me is nice to women. I have no desire to be with someone who is not a fun, nice person. I can make sure that I am what he is looking for. There would be nothing worse than to be in session, and not know what to do, because I am completely out of my element, lol It works like others have said in every bodies favor. I think a true professional will be who she is regardless if she knows you handle or not.
In the States, all the girls do extensive screening because of LE. It is standard practice. Giving up your board handle is a relatively easy one, where you still remain anonymous. With the Olympics coming, I know a ton of girls are nervous about it, and will be doing screening. I'm even thinking of jumping on the screening band wagon lol.

I will have a new roommate soon. One of the reasons I never tour is because of my furry friends, but with a new roommate, it might be feasible. It might be fun to go on a working holiday now and then. Who knows, but if I do, it will probably not be until Spring.
