What does everyone think of PERB's updated format?

I did not read everyone's comments, so sorry if I am repeating.

I don't see where it indicates if I have responded to the thread, used to indicate with a check mark.

I used to like the new posts selection and where it came from. The current new posts just list them all so now I have no idea of where the post came from.

Still getting used to it. SORRY< JUST FIGURED OUT BOTH OF MY COMMENTS!

I don't have a problem with it. Seems to load a bit faster.

*shrugs*

Just have to get used to it I guess.

Although I agree with the fact that the old format was fine the way it was.
Vbulletin 4.0 has far more advanced features than the version
we had. Other than that, there were a few changes. People will get used to them.
The search needs to be re-indexed and it will work after that.

You really ought to do a bit research before you mouth off. Otherwise you risk coming across as a bit ignorant.
This site has been BUTCHERED!!! :( It is now all show and NO GO! The version from a year ago was intuitive, way easier to use, and had a good search function. Users shouldn't have to "get comfortable navigating", it should be instinctive and user friendly from the start. I say dump this pile of crap and go back to the tried and true older version. We don't need to be different, we first and foremost need a site that is as functional as the others. Two thumbs down on the new format.
Software is updated for many reasons, one of them is that the older versions may be vulnerable to attacks

The monster under your bed
Well after a few minutes of browsing and posting
I have to say that I do like it..
It takes a bit to get used to the new features, and
to find everything.
But what can you do when you've had one in place for years now?..

My new Vote is to keep the New look

Hard on the eyes

Overall the functionality is pretty decent, but something has to be done about the colours and the fonts. I stare at a computer screen 10-12 hours a day, everyday, and this site is brutal on the eyes. It needs to be softened.
The rest just needs time to find the locations of the tabs, butons etc.. Overall it is an improvement and probably way easier to maintain. But the look does needs some adjustment. It is really hard on the eyes

Is there any way of getting the column with the number of posters in a thread that had the pop up of who had posted and how many times? I found that to be useful.....

Search function does not work that well!!

I tried searching a few SPs name that have been reviewed recently and the search results came back mostly "pre 2008"!

I do not like the small type for posting, either reviews or replys. Before it was much larger and easier to read while checking over

My biggest issue is having to delete my history each and every time I want to log in. When you log in like 5 times a day, it gets annoying.

I like the old format because all non-essential graphics are iconized (i.e., small) so that I can scan the text more quickly. And here they take up more space. Also I don't like starring at a bright (white) background on screen.

I don't mind the new format as long as I can still surf perb as comfortably as I would in the old site.

DG.

P.S. - shouldn't there be a poll for this kind of thing?
