What does everyone think of PERB's updated format?

I liked the fact that the old format identified threads with new posts, and would let you jump to the first unread post in a thread. I may be missing something, but I don't see that with the new format.

I guess I'll add my vote to bring back the old format.

it was cleaner and clearer in the old format. New versions always take a while to get used to, and I understand that, but this version (so far) isn't eye-friendly, and doesn't appear to offer any new benefit over the old format. Thumbs down so far, but I'm willing to keep an open mind.

That works for me (bolded and unbolded as before) in the forums but seems to stay bolded in "What`s New" even when I have read all of the posts, which I don`t recall being the case before (in "New Posts").

and would let you jump to the first unread post in a thread.

If you see the icon

to the left of the thread title, clicking it seems to go to the first unread post. Is that what you mean?

Its hard when you've been used to a format for years.

Anyways, the new look and feel isn't bad. Looks like Perb admins want to keep up with new and fresh stuff!

On the other hand this is version 4.0.0. Unless there is some serious exploit in the 3.x codebase, I wouldn't have installed a .0.0 release under anything less than severe duress.

I don't have a problem with it. Seems to load a bit faster.

Search/Advanced Search function is broken and useless now

Broken - NOT TOTALLY
Useless - NOT TOTALLY.

For example, if you search for "Sandi Laine" (without the quotes), at the moment you get 96 hits. But searching on "Ishq" gives no hits (well actually one, now that I have made this post).

I'm guessing that either the indexing is still in progress or it needs to be re-run.

A BIG pile of crap!

This site has been BUTCHERED!!! It is now all show and NO GO! The version from a year ago was intuitive, way easier to use, and had a good search function. Users shouldn't have to "get comfortable navigating", it should be instinctive and user friendly from the start. I say dump this pile of crap and go back to the tried and true older version. We don't need to be different, we first and foremost need a site that is as functional as the others. Two thumbs down on the new format.

As some have said, the icons are waaay to big and distracting. It does have some anime look to it which is kind of weird for an adult forum like this. The whole pop up look of each thread is kind of hard on the eyes.

My first complaint is that I used to visit the site from my blackberry without any problems, now I CAN'T. I doesn't render properly and if it stay, you'll be getting a lot less revenue from me that's for sure. Bring the old layout back. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
