The wedding cake BS in the USA was just plain badly handled IMO.Right off the bat once the owners of the bakery found out the cake was for a same sex wedding that their religious views conflicted with they should have taken it on a different tangeant.Which would be make the price of the precious fucking wedding cake outrageously expensive as in QUADRUPLE the normal price and if asked about it say "we are busy right now and this sale is a burden to our workload".....bang....problem solved....no cake for a gay wedding they find offensive and no whiney assholes suing you in court due to the break down in Societal views/morals all thanks to the evil progressive BULLSHIT of Political Correctness.

So I take it you'd be ok paying 4x for all the services you seek because the vendor doesn't like your ideology? No doubt you'd say you'd find another vendor. But what if most of them did this to you and you had to drive hours out of your way to avoid the "I don't like SR's attitude" tax that they all seemed to be applying. Still good with that?
Edit to clarify: I'm not defending the asshole in this new story. But baking a cake is baking a cake. The act doesn't change based on who is buying it. Or perhaps in a vernacular that may be more familiar, I'd say the baker should mind their own damned business regarding who is eating the cake or why. It doesn't concern them. Just bake the damned cake, sell it, and move on. By contrast the person in the present story is asking for a service the groomer did not provide.

This person is not even trans. Bi-sexual at best, but does not live as a woman, refers to himself in the masculine tense on all of his websites, and has plenty of documented online conversations with teenage girls of a sexual,predatory nature. Another big concern, outside of the outrage about media bias, is that there may be a backlash; I am technically LGBTQ myself (bi, although I "present" as straight), I have many gay & lesbian friends and I've also known severals trans folks... in the long run, this is not a good optic for that community at all.

Point is, you'd be ok with routinely being refused service (assuming you're seeking a service that they actually offer) based on that, if some personal expression you were fond of displaying was widely refused?
