So sensitive topic but I’m curious about how Perbites differ in their political views. I do not poon much here, mostly while travelling. If I look in the political topics in the Lounge discussions I see a lot of very active online, reactionary regulars along with a token amount of liberals. I understand a libertarian viewpoint does cross left/right dichotomies.
My question is are our politics driven by our experiences with women ? Are the right-wing guys all bitter about “feminization” and their ex-wives to the point of misogyny? Are the left-wing guys too “beta” and understanding to be getting laid at all to the point of compensating through quasi-feminist comments?

As always, the most valuable views are from any SP out there...

Speaking as a generally more liberal sort of guy (the ideology, not the party), being open minded means not buying into the regressive social stigma of sex work. I kind of admire sex workers for bucking the system and dictating their own terms of engagement. Plus it's nice to be confident you can speak freely with them on the topics of sex. It's a liberating culture. You don't have to be beta to admire alpha women.

It's funny, your suggested caricature for what motivates both right wing and left wing people to be here has the notion of frustration in common. I take it that's what you see as a driver?

Don't expect any replies from SP's. They aren't allowed to participate much unless they are paid advertisers , so they are few and far between here in the lounge.

Most people in this hobby are male, middle aged and make good money. That’s a Conservative demographic naturally, so you’re going to see those views more than Liberal ones.

I've read this several times and just don't understand what you're suggesting so I'm going to say no; There is no relationship between political views and experiences with women.

I keep my politics separate from any interaction with SP's. I have no correlation between the industry and how I think politically. I did stop seeing one SP because she would try to draw me into discussions about politics. I found it to be a downer for the session.

I have been all over the map with my votes with Liberals, Cons and Green Party. Philosophically I'd say I'm a centrist who runs a business but also believes in social programs supporting the whole population and not just individual groups.

From an economics perspective I'd say that a sex worker has more economic potential for the British Columbia economy than most any individual in British Columbia. A sex worker catering foreign tourists actually helps balance the budget while most everybody else is involved in importing that does not help balance budget. The list is long. Nearly everything in British Columbia is connected to importing whether that be construction importing parts, tools and equipment to build, or common retailers, or government service sector that will make massive decisions to do projects that will import. Would be going too far off topic to say why it's important to balance budgets but in a predominately fiscally conservative forum, that shouldn't be necessary.

Those in red used to be more active in the Lounge. I miss that. Is it just me or do things feel more toxic here in the last several months? What's driven them away?

Agree with this comment. Lounge has become way to politicized. Virtually every thread gets turned into a political or culture war.

SPs use their time online to promote their businesses. Participating in the lounge probably doesn't produce many tangible business benefits. For online socializing and commiserating with other SPs, they have other venues available.

That said, I've been around a few years now and I see the lounge go through cycles of high and low participation by SPs. Maybe it's just in another low cycle.

I don't find it more toxic. It's been pretty calm here lately. Almost too calm. We currently have an overabundance of testosterone and dick in the lounge, that's all.

I’ve personally noticed a change for the better here, when it comes to dealing with more serious issues. When the powers that be around here stumble upon proof of real fuckery against SPs, they’ve been taking action.
