Not sure if this is a lounge question. I've seen several names with raving reviews on this board, only to find them underwhelming.

Between all those whom frequent perb, who are the toughest critics/ reviewers?

The toughest critics aren’t always any more useful than the guys who give a 10 /10 for everything.

A large of overall positive reviews, or comments agreeing with the poster, for a provider is way more useful to me than a few glowing ones.

Some things like the location and cleanliness of an incall, professional communication, or promptness are pretty cut and dried so these tend to be what I find the most useful in a review. Does she have a great body? My ideal may be different but if the reviewer says the pictures on her ads or social media are accurate I can decide for myself if I like her look or not. If a review is tough on these kinds of things I’m all in favour, but most other stuff is too YMMV in this industry.

For me, these kinds of reviews are entirely meaningless. Many reviewers and commenters fall victim to the "bandwagon effect", where they agree with the original poster simply because they find them entertaining or appealing. This effect is widespread on platforms like Google Reviews, Yelp, and virtually everywhere else.

For me its when ages or views do not add up when I compare my in person experience to the reviews I have read. It seems to happen quite a bit with asian providers.

You can be unhappy with an experience and write a negative review that is still respectful and fair. The toughest critics here all too often slip into insults, misogyny and end up getting the entire review deleted as a result.

If unsure it’s always a good idea to look at the original posters other reviews and see if his taste in women ( factors such as age for example ) align w yours .

I learned this lesson the hard way . Upon seeing consistent rave reviews about how the same provider was the greatest thing since sliced bread , I’m talking loads of review and comments supporting it , I finally decided to go see her . Needles to say she was about 30 yrs too old for my taste and I could even tell than even when she was young there was no way in hell I ever would have thought about her in that way ( I’m being kind here ) .

After giving her half the donation in her LL ad and promptly leaving, ( she knew her photos were doctored to a ridiculous degree ) I got home completely baffled .

Upon looking up the posting history of 15-20 of the posters I realized all of them were likely retired and on a tight budget .

Lesson learned .

Being a complete asshole is too easy on the internet.
Just like twitter, some try to be shocking to get reactions and attention.

Unfortunately I know who you're talking about, and I wished I had walked like you did.

I got burned many times by glowing reviews, but that one was by far the worst. Even if those posters were on a tight budget, they had to be blind to make such endorsements. To me, It was more like a conspiracy to defraud.

Wow ! That’s pretty bad if you know exactly who I mean & I didn’t even say her name Lol .
To this day the rave reviews continue & I continue to be baffled . I wouldn’t be able to get excited if I swallowed a bottle of viagra .

The worst reviews have to be the 'self aggrandizing' narcissists who think that their ability to pay for services makes them special.

They then add the 'DM me for the details!' like they're going to share something special.

The bottom line with those reviewers is they simply forget that they are paying a provider for services. Should I brag about how many electricians I've paid to change lightbulbs at my house? Makes about as much sense as some reviewers in their bragging.

It’s almost as if these services depend entirely on connection and comfort level with each individual client.
Just because one member has an amazing session with a provider doesn’t mean that everybody else will.
Your mileage will always vary.

I get what you’re saying, and as it turns out, I have reviewed an electrician (Google reviews); and a plumber, appliance repair, mechanic and too many restaurants to count; both positively and with constructive criticism. There’s reviews for everything - case in point, Perb. So just as I appreciate detailed reviews before I try a new resto, I am the same with a potential SP I’m considering visiting. Do some dudes brag? Sure, but so do folks on Trip Advisor about their tropical vacation or Michelin dinner. No harm, no foul.

I appreciate a diversity of opinions and for folks who are too much for my tastes (of whom there have only been a few over the years) there is the ignore button. The mods do an admirable job of pruning the tree and most of us are pretty good at spotting a shill.

I tend to leave long detailed reviews but I try not to make them self serving but instead put the lions share of the focus on the provider , what she looks like including her general “ look “ or type of look,
what her demeanour & vibe is like , what services took place incl which she seemed to genuinely enjoy as opposed to going through the motions ,
Etc etc

Good points. Shills are typically obvious and the mods do a good job.

The self-promotors/aggrandizers are like people who travel just to say they went there. They didn't learn anything, never appreciated the nuances of where they were, just took a selfie and ran off to the next place to brag about.

the self-aggrandizers are an unintentional source of amusement. There was one clown who boasted he'd impress the SP by standing beside her bed and leaping "like a ninja" landing with both feet on the bed(I'm not making this up,lol).I'm sure that impressed the hell out of her.

Another wizard was a self-proclaimed expert on knowing(not guessing)ages of Asian ladies. He said it was a skill like a pro golfer reading the greens(honest! you can't make this s..t up,lol)

and of course the guys who think they carry anancondas in their shorts.....one guy wrote that his "johnson" was thicker than the SP's wrist.
and a recently banned baron of bombastic braggadacio compared his to a "toddler's arm"

we could view these types as court jesters....except I believe court jesters were intelligent?
