The best restaurant in Vancouver!

I'm always shit baked when I hear about people loving Earl's, Joey's, the Cactus Club or any of the Eisenstat joints (Gotham, Shore Club etc). There are so many great places in Vancouver if you just make an effort to find them.

La Brasserie, Tableau, Gyoza King, Hapa Umi, Pied au Terre, ReFuel, Bistro Pastis, Ensemble, Boneta, West ( now with Wang Dang ) and tons of others.

thanks for the tip, decided to take a date to Hawksworth. Had their sampling menu and it was good. pricey. but, enjoyable night at the restaurant.

any other restaurant to take to impress a date?

Kudos to Hawksworth for being named Vancouver's " Restaurant of the Year " in the 23rd Annual Restaurant Awards. David Hawksworth was also the " Chef of the Year ". When it rains, it pours. :clap2:

I had an very interesting experience at the Blue water cafe, my favorite restaurant! While sitting at the bar and enjoying my drinks and Halibut, I was having a very pleasant conversation with the couples in 50s. The wife was decent looking and fit while her husband was obese. They were from out of town for a visit. When the husband went to the washroom, the wife asked for my phone number and asked me what I was doing that night! ??????

All great places as well as your Italian picks . I eat out a lot and generally go to Chambar / cafe Medina, Blue Water is one of our top pics , love sitting at sushi bar and they serve the best whole grilled fish ever. We call ahead and reserve one. Palkis on commercial for Indian, Zen in West Van for Sushi as well as la Regalade right next door for French.
Burnaby has The Pear Tree, and last but not least Hawksworth. Now I'm hungry

TASTY BISTRO right here in Surrey. FANTASTIC indian food. Beautiful restraunt!
