Well the cup run has become a bit of a challenge now eh Habs? All the energy of the Vegas series, is gone. Tampa's forechecking is formidable and their coaching has put them a half step ahead of Montreal, in every game. If you watched last night's game as I did and it was not all that much fun, I counted 4 clear opportunities the Habs had but either could not get a stick on the puck or fanned on the shot. Heavy forechecking and having a guy in the right spot does that.
So ok, Just Four More :)

What I saw in that game was a team that thought the only defense they need is a good goalie! Sure, Price is amazing, but he can't do EVERYTHING. At least two of Tampa's goals should have been downright embarrassing to Montreal's defense.

Montreal played a solid defensive game against a top scoring team (all 4 lines scoring). Seems their coaching finally got it. And they blanked Tampa on 5 power plays including that unfortunate 4 min minor for Shea Weber maybe the best all around D man in the league. No mean feat. Next game will be really tough. Vegas odds makers are giving it to the Bolts. Habs need to produce more of what this guy Josh Anderson gave (gees where did that guy come from?). Kinda epitomizes playoff hockey.

The mayor of TB asked the team to lose so that they could claim the cup at home. Probably the only reason Montreal won last night. And believe it or not, I am cheering for the Habs, I just think they have less than 1% chance of winning it now.

I agree! Wasn't his goal something to see? The effort he put in was remarkable!

the clock finally struck midnight for the Habs, but it was a damn good run!

I am really happy for all the responses and contributions to this thread.
I'm also very impressed by the fact that people stated their thoughts and opinions in a positive, mature way without the
childish s..t-tossing that is all too prevalent on social media,i.e. facebook

I'm thinking of starting a new thread for sports in general and see where that goes.

So, thx to everyone, this was fun!

RE Habs, pretty amazing. Finished 18th and ended up in the show.
RE Sports in general, yes.
RE Soccer - oh for crying out loud, did you see the babies falling down and grimacing and crying in the Spain Italy game?
RE Tennis - So how about that Shap-ap-ap-apa kid and his buddy Ali Always Smiling? Wow who would have thought that Canadians, hewers of hockey sticks, would be making such a racket on the tennis stage. And bring back Eugenie so we can see those great little tennis outfits she wears.
