100% agree but I doubt it's unanimous. Old timers and ex-players love to live out their glory days. I think they're absolutely delusional. They could be good in their era and not even be considered worth an NHL contract in today's standards. Mark Messier said something along the lines of "that's not how I'd build a team" referring to the Wilson-Rangers fiasco. The dumbass is still living out his glory in his own head. The best teams play the best hockey because they're fast and skilled, and if they have goons, it's because they also happen to be able to play hockey (e.g. Wilson). One thing I am pretty sure will be unanimous, the level of the game has never been higher. The speed, transition game, strategy, man if you make one little fuck up, the other guys are on that like white on rice. I have been a fan since the days of no helmets or goalie face masks and I am pretty sure any team today would soundly beat any team from even a few years ago the bar has moved up so much.
Do you dislike all types of bandwagons ? 🤔Some team is going to win and most of the people in the world don't give a fuck.
Did I get it right?
So who held a gun to you head and made you post this? Some team is going to win and most of the people in the world don't give a fuck.

But the current players are fast, daring, brave and reckless because of body armour, face shields, helmets, masks and rules that have lessened body contact and retaliation. When was the last time any forward trying to split the D was hip-checked? How many players drive to the net knowing the net isn't stuck in place? Do current players continue through a game after "getting their bell rung?" Have any current players played a full 60 minutes? Impossible to compare eras, and the current players are better conditioned, faster and more skilled (And most probably don't smoke between periods). But also think they are protected by better rules, which makes the game faster.100% agree but I doubt it's unanimous. Old timers and ex-players love to live out their glory days. Hockey's evolved a lot over the years, and it's definitely for the better.
It sounds like you're agreeing with me more than not? I do want to address the bold though: I'm guessing you're not a competitive athlete, or it has been a while since you've athletically competed in anything meaningful. The past and current players are equally "brave and reckless" if we are considering equipment, but not so when taking into account the rules. I think we can both agree that it's a good thing - but if you are telling me that is the reason why the current era is better, than I fully disagree. But the current players are fast, daring, brave and reckless because of body armour, face shields, helmets, masks and rules that have lessened body contact and retaliation. again, replying to my post...guess it's ok to reply to myself, lol.
I suspect I was not alone in thinking the North division 2nd Round would be Toronto vs Edmonton?
Dunno which is the bigger surprise...Jets sweeping the Oil, or Habs coming back from 3-1?
Jets probably have the better team on paper.....but we know what puppies do to paper.
I'm going with Habs having more momentum
I think Bolts and Bruins will get through.
Colorado-Vegas might be the de facto Cup Final....whoever wins that will be tough to beat.
I had picked Vegas....I'm glad I didn't bet on them,lol.
Lots of good hockey ahead.
Probably based around what NBC wants. Which might explain why there were all those playoff games in Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Here we’re used to playoff games almost every day (depending on the round) and not in the mornings or afternoons.Dunno why they couldn't've started the 3rd round a bit sooner?
