I have this female friend her and I have known each other for about 10 years. We are really close friends we talk about everything and anything we are pretty open with each other. She is single and so am I we flirt with each other every so often and she has told me that she would "do me" and yes she has told me this when she has had a few to drink and when she is sober and NOTHING has happened yet she knows I like her and I know she likes me. Maybe it is because she thinks of me as a brother which she has told me that I am like one to her. I look at it as why go through with sleeping with each other and risking the great friendship we have. After sleeping with each other it would be the craps if someone wanted something more than the other and that person getting hurt and the friendship goes in the tank.

Ummm... I don't think she thinks of you as 'just like a brother'. Like I've said before, it's virtually impossible for a heterosexual man and woman to remain 'just friends' for any great length of time. Inevitably, one or both of them will develope an attraction for the other. But, that's just my opinion, I could be totally wrong.

you can also look at it from the other perspective. lots of women I know have been so jerked around by boyfriends that they start to assume the worst, that it will all go to sh*t eventually.

so if they find a man who seems to care about them without the necessity of sex, they want to hang onto him for dear life and not risk losing that "brother". reliable friends are important, ya know.

it's kind of a distorted viewpoint, but not much different from the cynical views of women that men often express. it's because of the baggage and damage that we most of us have acquired along the way.
