I just introduced sliding scale rates and I'm super curious what people think of them. Would you always pay the minimum? Would you be more likely to tip? Other thoughts?

I took a glance at your webpage, but it wasn’t clear to me how the sliding scale works. Is it pay-what-you-can? Pay-for-particular-services?

Well, meh. I want to raise my rates but dont want to be inaccessible to people who can’t afford to pay me more so here we are 😂
Why not raise your rates and offer a discount for regulars/ preferred clients?
I understand the generous sentiment to offer a flexible scale, and yet here’s an X-ray lens into the mental gymnastics that would be going on in the heads of some of your clients:
1. Should I pay the minimum? Is she going to think I’m cheap?
2. If I pay the minimum am I going to get a different level of service than if I pay more?
3. God, I have to make another decision? I have to make them all day - I just want this to be simple.
That being said, the whole a-la-carte menu of: +$50 for nude, +$50 for oral, +$50 for BB, +$50 for a clean towel is annoying as hell.
The variable pricing options that I’ve seen that make sense to me are:
1. Stated discounts for certain groups that may be marginalized eg. 25% of for disabled.
2. A sensual massage/half service rate, and a full service rate.

Interesting experiment! I'd love to hear what guys are actually paying after you've done this for a while.
Nah it's all the same service. I added to my web site: "I offer sliding scale rates. My minimum rates are lower than a lot of other established providers in my demographic, so you have the chance to give me the rate we both deserve. I'll put my whole self into all sessions regardless of what you can afford."
It's not about being cheap, it's about what you can afford. Nothing else changes except how much money you give me.

sorry but I *hate* hh, even hours feel rushed to me, and hh bookings just feel gross. I wanna connect and cuddle.
I don't want to offer anyone a discount. And I want to keep attracting clients who can afford the lower end of my rates.
I would probably start near the lower end, and if we clicked, go up from there on subsequent visits. The real question would be if the service levels are the same at any point of the sliding scale. I have seen lots of ladies lately with 350 as the base but add ons for actual GFE services, even more for kinks, and even 3rd or 4th levels for filming etc.

I could show you more than a dozen ads that look like a chipotle menu, with 50 extra for this, 100 extra for that and it always looks and feels like a menu, which I thought most ladies didn't like? For lots of providers, basic service appears to be one step above a ripoff, you gotta pay extra for anything remotely interesting, passionate or fun. I would much rather pay 400 for all inclusive than 300 with this or that add on. The latter feels tacky and gross. It's like an extra burden on the lady that she demands a premium for. If I am that much of a burden, I will take my sessions elsewhere, where appreciation and excitement, rather than complacency and contempt are the basic emotions.
It introduces a negotiation factor that makes me a little uncomfortable. Like I would feel guilty not paying top rate, or asking for the minimal rate. So while this benefits me more than an across the board rate increase (which would cut me out), I'd have to get over the hurdle of feeling like I'm taking advantage of what is quite a generous compromise.
