Should I use my real name?

If you have followed any of my other posts, you will know I am new at the whole S.P. thing. I have contacted different S.P., and I don't give them my real name when I do. A S.P. recently found this out (they found out because I have gone back and forth between two names and used them both with them, so they questioned me). They questioned me why I would not use my real name. So, those of you who have been at this for a long time, I ask you, "Should I use my real name?"

I always use my real name, my real phone number or email address and have never had a problem. I also believe it indicates a level of intimacy and trust to my sex partner.

I kind of feel that some of the anxieties expressed here by guys trying to be so secretive about everything is kind of a hysterical reaction because I seriously don't think people are in this profession to get you. If you don't trust who you are arranging to have sex with, maybe you shouldn't be having sex with them?

But then I have also had sex in front of strangers, on camera and in public (not counting the countless times with the curtains open in full view of other apartments).

I agree with Electra, the real professionals in this business want everyone to be safe and they would be out of business in days if word got out that they didn't. Their reputation is vital.

Only one SP knows my full real name. She is very well established and trustworthy, I provided my ID for screening because I had no references. She provided a reference for the second, from that point on I've used first name and last initial (Real) with no issues whatsoever.
Set up an email address that only you know about and set the info that recipients see to first name and last initial.

I admit I'm one of the paranoid ones. To me it has little to do with trust, really. If/when I'm with a companion I trust, I'll gladly share my personal information. However, I simply don't want my "real" information connected to anything electronic, if I can help it. To me there just seem to be too many scenarios in which something negative could happen, and I don't mean only malicious. So, I'll gladly share pretty much anything a provider wants to know in person, but online I try to hold on to my anonymity.

By the way, the way I understand the law, companions at this point in time are working legally, but clients are still committing illegal acts. (Bizarre, isn't is?!?) I realize that may be a technicality, and is extremely unlikely to be a problem with well-known providers, but why take the chance? I'm also aware that my anonymity is likely an illusion, but... I'll take the easy steps I can.

Just my 2¢. Take it for what it's worth. (And I don't think it's even worth adjusting for inflation. :) )

The first name is fine in my opinion.
Thats why I was asking about first name / surname. Can’t see a problem using your real first name. Pretty hard to track someone down from just that. I have had return customers using a different first name and makes things complicated. Better to use the same name each time.

To alleviate your anxiety on the legal side, I was formally interviewed by the police in an interview room as a witness to an assault of a sex worker. My statement was recorded and I voluntarily provided them with access to my phone to confirm a text conversation and a couple of phone calls. The police were not at all interested that I was a purchaser of sex, only in the evidence I was providing as related to the assault, and even thanked me for coming in.

On a side note, Susi and PACE were great resources that I reached out to for advice.

Just have to reach out and thank you for this from all sex workers everywhere.

I would love to suck on your balls ?? but they must be so big I wouldn’t be able to fit them in my mouth ? lol.

We appreciete the kind gentlmen that look out for us, provide assistance in time of need and just are good guys. (There are many of you) ? ?

I hope she is ok and everything works out for her. Give her my love ?

This. I don't distrust reputable providers. I do distrust their data security.

Hell no I wouldn’t use my real name not first or last. There’s nothing to gain from it. Don’t give anything that can be used against you.

I even use my real name here, so I don't pretend otherwise when I meet a provider.
I do draw the line when I get asked about where I work. That's off limits.

You have nothing to worry about with well established SP's with good reps. We are literally just trying to feel safe while doing this. I have famous men give me their real names with no issue. It's all about who you are dealing with.
Thanks for clarifying that Electra, Justin xxx

I don't think 99% of the providers care whether you use your real name or not. They just want something to call you by. Probably 2/3 of my appointments don't even require my name.
