Wow, some of you guys on Shaw sure have slow internet. My score on the site was down: 24695 and up 952. I'm on high speed extreme with Shaw.

Something wrong with the download portion of this test cause i'm getting consistently over 25mbps but, the upload is correct at 500kbps; it could be cause it is also 6am in the morning. All this on regular shaw high speed and i tried it several times.

I'm on a Telus aircard with a 3 watt booster in the middle of nowhere Alberta. My speed results are 225 download and 174 upload.
All I can say is I've learned to be incredibly patient.

If any of you are on Shaw using a Linksys Router, make sure you upgrade the Firmware for the router to the latest. Shaw has issues with old Firmware on Linksys Routers specifically, since they introduced the new "Extreme" service. The old Firmware does not like how the "Extreme" Service wraps the TCP\IP packets and either drops them or it causes many collisions, which drops your upload speed to very low numbers.This is an undocumented issue, but if you bug Shaw, they will cave and admit to the issue.

Download the firmware from Linksys specific to your Router and Hardware Version. Backup your settings, upgrade the Firmware, restore your setting, if needed, and voila, your speed will improve dramatically.

So I finally got a hold of Telus after being on hold for 33 minutes, getting disconnected and being on hold for another 35. They did a whole bunch of stuff on their end and Im still running the same shitty speed. Something told me to check the SO's computer and she's getting around 6000 down and 800 up. I assumed this might be related to the copious amounts of porn I watch, so to be on the safe side I ran virus and spyware tests and all came back negative for any infections.

HELP! IT TAKES FOREVER TO DOWNLOAD PORN AND ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!
