I might be a little slow to jump into the fray, but I have a couple of pennies to throw in the pot. I have been working in various arenas of the service industry since I was in grade 6, and for the life of me, I can't think of one company or division of the service industry that would even consider reviewing their customer. Banks, department stores, airlines, movie theaters, gyms, hotels, restaurants, and the list goes on. Sure, we might let our co-workers know if a customer is an idiot, but would we post it on a public forum? Good god, no! I can see it now "John Doe drinks the cheapest wine in the house, puts ketchup on his well done filet mignon and tips 5%." Not only will he never come back, but the 30 or so friends he tells won't come back, or the friends of those 30 people, and so on as snowball grows and picks up speed. Bad news travels fast.
No matter what area of customer service you are in, you are there to provide that service and satisfy your customer. If you can't or don't want to do that - you need a different job.
Without your customer, your service does not exist, and as a result, neither does your job.
