I've had several other SPs and pooners bring this subject up to me privately, especially over the past year. Discussions of why they do or don't support it. And some are curious (mostly other ladies) why I still participate here.

Most of these conversations have been civilized, and I especially thank those fellow SPs who can calmly and maturely agree to disagree instead of having the interaction melt down into hate and insults thrown at me.

Bottom line, the benefits far out weigh the downside for me. This board gets me clients who do their homework and are willing to abide by my deposit policy and respect my restrictions. I have other prioties in life so I want my work to be as drama free as possible. I want reliable clients who have their shit together and are able to get through the booking process in a timely and efficient manner. Sure I also get assholes referencing my Perb ads, but I don't book them. And I utilize the block option on my iPhone often. Threats of bad reviews because I don't bend over backwards to cater to them or blow up their egos...nothing has really ever materialized. Any critical reviews or comments that have ever been posted publicly about me hasn't affected my income in the slightest, plus I tend to get many more coherent inquiries from here vs Leolist.

And I'll be honest, I am biased. Most of my male friends are pooners, and one in particular (he knows who he is) has had a profound positive effect on my life. I want those I care about to be able to participate safely. I think information sharing (as long as it's not done maliciously!!!) benefits BOTH sides of the equation. It's those who use review boards for strictly their own gain, or, to slaughter others to make themselves feel better that are the problem. But I won't ignorantly paint everyone with the same brush.

I find when women participate on here and defend themselves in a calm and eloquent manner, it helps maintain a power balance.

As a pooner I do use this and other boards to gauge a ladies character. I also monitor twitter and instagram for certain ladies. Just like you, I take into account of a ladies on line presence. just like you take a prospective clients presence into account. It works both ways. I can tell you that there are a couple of ladies on this board that I will never visit just based on their outspoken comments. If used right, these boards can be a positive effect on your business.

There are many viciously misogynistic guys here and on Twitter.
Some women come across badly too, but I think the women as a group have more to fear from badly behaved men than vice versa.
A guy might think it is a disaster if he has a subpar experience and is out a few hundred bucks. A woman has a lot more to be concerned about. Violent clients. Creepy time wasters like Bill who has been pulling his act for fifteen years. Petty vindictive clients who out women to their hotel. Guys who disregard everything in a woman’s ad about contact protocol and screening.
Boards are generally helpful but they have enabled a lot of abuse. Easy to see why some women hate them.

As always ymmv.

Being robbed, being drugged, being beaten are valid concerns for men too. These things have happened.

Well said M. hunter. You and I kind of briefly spoke about this on Twitter. I remember saying to you, something along the lines of --- if Perb is taking care of you by getting you clients, that is all that matters. You're on here for a reason. Ladies choose themselves to participate on topic. It's not a must that they need to. And, if ladies, whether touring ladies, local ladies etc etc, have been riding Perb regularly and consistently, then that says something. It says that Perb is working for them. Perb can be powerful if used correctly.

Again, look and focus on the positive. There's plenty of that. You just have to see it or see it in them :)

Well said Grizzly, I also use curiouscat a lot, reason being it allows you to ask the SP provider Q she might be construed as a time waster, however since I value connection a LOT more important than intimacy/sex it tells me a lot about her sense of humour and general mindset. I'd rather be seen as a safe/ enjoyable client to be with than just another walking ATM . There is a lady on curious who despite not being my preference (bbw) from Ottawa who is touring in August I sent a deposit to just based on her answers alone.

As part of the ongoing effort to clean up the board, we have edited and even deleted posts with truly misogynistic content. You can say less than flattering things in a diplomatic way. You can politely raise questions of hygiene for example without mentioning a fish market (actual edit done to a post in the past month). We have also deleted posts and banned reviewers for encouraging fake bookings, inciting violence and other ridiculous things. I have also had to inform some ladies that we would not be deleting honest negative reviews, claiming poor service or bait and switch is not in and of itself rude or demeaning, if it is done correctly. We are striving to be one of the rare ones, a review board that treats ladies and pooners alike fairly and equitably. We won't be perfect, perfection is unattainable, but will will work towards it and always try to improve. Keep flagging the posts and we will keep on the quest.

I'm certainly glad there is a few sp's that are no longer allowed to participate here. What they have said about people, how they conduct themselves on whatever platform they choose to vent on or whatever you want to call it, just confirms to me the real person they are behind the keyboard, certainly no one I'd want to spend my time and money on.

I have a feeling that mere human nature is what makes 'review boards' a net-positive for everyone.

I would liken the effects of review boards like PERB on the whole pooning business to how, say, meeting strangers from the internet tends to be MORE appealing if indeed you have identified a few flaws in the stranger. In the earlier days of online life, we first encountered someone on a message board, or in a chatroom, and in many cases they seemed 'perfect' to begin with, and then slooooooooooooowly a few flaws identified themselves, which made them more human.

The review boards, no matter how a woman conducts herself in this arena, are certain to offer random details which need not be positive to net a productive gain. It's just the detail itself which helps a reviewing prospective client to gain further sense of that woman.

Deep down, he wants her to be real and authentic, and he likely wants her to be comfortable with herself, and just about anything which is routinely added to reviews on PERB is the sort of stuff that represents more details for a prospective client to now know/sense about the person he's researching for a possible visit.

And some people grumble that the vast majority of the reviews are positive, and in the eyes of some, even overrated. Well that is a function of the whole psychology of the male outlook here. The research brings your mind nearer to accurately sensing the person you're likely to meet behind that door for the first time. The nearer you can bring your expectations to the experience you are likely to share there, the more probable it is that you are going to have a great time.

So if a lady has five reviews... one of them makes slight reference to her house cat, another makes slight reference to the nice view from her incall, the other makes slight reference to her stretch marks... and another makes reference to a duo with the woman's roommate. So now the researching mind has each of those additional factors with which to better sense the image behind the image he will encounter when he meets her.

It all adds up to the guys who do their homework having better success in this arena and continuing to pepper the reviews with more positive experiences.

It's just human nature.

Abby has offered quite a refreshing presence on this forum, and like hedgeman mentioned it's nice to no longer allow a platform for certain troubled SP's who seem to be rather disingenuous. We're all flawed in our own ways, and sometimes we might say or do something that's may be unpopular. As long as we're not actually out to do anything malicious to anyone or condoning malicious actions against anyone we can agree to disagree and move on to the next thing. Similarly if we're not going overboard in the use of our words when criticizing others, than it's all good. We don't have to have a response to everything people say, the forum allows blocking if you can't stand someone that much, or we can simply just ignore a person by scrolling past their comments/posts and not acknowledging them.

I always try to be positive here and on Twitter. These women go through so much that I want them to feel good. I hope that if I throw them a nice comment, that I always mean, it can brighten up their day. If I have a negative review of an SP, I will usually post it in an already created thread for her. It just feels mean to me to blast her in a new thread post unless she's really horrible. Like takes money and doesn't provide service, or just straight up robs me with a pimp nearby. None of this has ever happened to me but if it did. I would sure tread post that shit!

The beautiful Fraser Valley !

This is another perspective...

https://www.mssiennacharles.com/blog/review-culture

I prefer when I can hear both sides of the Story !

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?269636-VIP-Chloe-misleading-photos

Different Ladies interactions on the Board, have significantly influenced whether I felt they might be a good Fit, for what I'm looking for in a Woman !

There are Pros & Cons to everything in Life for sure .

PERB has helped Me avoid, some of the potential Pitfalls, of which I'm gratefully appreciative !

As the Mod acknowledged, nothing is Perfect .

But, this Entertainment is too expensive, to rely on "Trial & Error" alone !

Just my 2Cents...

Cheers

Choosing to focus on the positive instead of the negative causes a powerful shift. And not just in regards to PERB but everything in life. I still have my grumpy moments, I'm human, but things don't get to me like they used to.
