Sailor Hager's? Fish and chips? Dog? Please tell me about this place.
If bdan is who I think it is, we met up more then a few times in times past. Sailor Hager's is a pub in North Vancouver...nice place, good fish and chips. As a sidebar, Rusty Gull, also a North Vancouver establishment does a mean fish and chips as well. Don't like leaving the pooch at home alone so I wonder how they would react to me bringing him along....probably not well....

Sailor Hager's. Nice balcony on a sunny day. Great fish and chips. Beer isn't bad either.

Company is what made it though. Good people. Good time.

Dog?
If they complain just act all butt hurt and offended like everyone else these days. Take to Twitter in front of them lol

We have the same problem. Not that the dog misbehaves when she's home alone. We just like having her with us. In the summer we choose to eat at places with outdoor patios where dogs are allowed. In the winter, well, we just aren't that hardy, and anyway the servers don't like having to wear snow boots just to get to our table.

Just tell them the dog is for emotional support......you know how fragile you look.
If you do that...let me know, I'd love to be there to see the look on the managers face when you try that.

Actually, I've been thinking on how to get him certified as a service dog...and what would be the reason...."we keep each other from killing stupid"... that would work.:heh:

In some jurisdictions, if you say your dog is a service dog, establishments must respect that. To ask the reason would be an invasion of privacy.

Doesn't work in BC though. Here the animal has to be certified.

I here by certify Uncleg's dog as a service animal.....to avoid him from killing stupid.
This certification has Sy's stamp of approval.
It also, from this day forward...enables him to start hanging around me, and doesn't put my life, or well being in any more danger.
I just need a second vote.

Quick point...Sy is trying to certify the dog...not me, though there are probably some of you that think I am certifiable.

Nah.
Most are just jealous of your apropos image hunting abilities.

Twitter is ... weird. But, apparently some people take it serious. The world is getting odd.

But I'm there to look at all the SP pics.

From my psych textbook... it made me laugh. We're studying emotion and it's confirming what I already know from 30-some years on this plant. Women are the more emotionally literate gender!
Well everyone knows that.....you posses all the good body parts, that you can play with anytime you want.

411 thread asking about a certain SP (as members are wont to do in 411 threads... ;) ) Revealed weeks ago in a post in said thread that images have been stolen from some twitter account or instagram model, including name of said 'model' in said 411 thread. And said thread is bumped again today with a query of "So, has anyone seen her yet?" And all I wanna do is post this clip in said thread as a reply...

But I resist as I repeat the following mantra in my head... kinder, gentler perb... kinder, gentler perb... ;) :D

I'm tryin', Ringo... I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd...

:D

Sweet merciful Zeus! The same member has bumped more than one 411 thread asking about an advertiser whose images were revealed as stolen weeks ago...

I posted this in the closed ' A very important message from Perb' thread, but figured it was apropos to re-post here. I don't believe this breaks any rules when it comes to snipping and pasting content from one thread to another. I'm certainly not looking to re-open that closed thread:

'As Thumper said "If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all"
I'm sure this is the spirit of the Mod enforcement policy.
I for one will be having less to say regarding stupid noob questions when 2 minutes of minimal effort from said noob will get the answer. After all, weren't we all noobs at one point? Of course, some of us were intuitive enough to have lurked a bit to get the feel and drift of the Board before coming on and asking "Who's the best kisser?"
I will also have less to say to the constant inane questions in the 411 from so many members, new and old, dissecting an SP with 15+ questions that ultimately devolve into complete minutiae, to the point of her choice of fast-food, or that tiny, mostly invisible mole on her inner thigh, or that one wild areola whisker that she missed plucking being the deal breakers on whether to see her or not. Shame on her!
And it would probably be prudent if I withheld commentary to those that can't figure out that our positive reviews are just that- a mostly subjective iteration of our own encounter with a given lady, and that our specific personality and actions ultimately determined the quality and mileage of said encounter. We are not all created equal- expecting an equal experience is not necessarily going to happen. YMMV is exactly that. Just use the review as a guideline and make the choice yourself- the resulting encounter will be what it is. Nothing is guaranteed. Even the civvie chick that decides to give you a free ride isn't necessarily going to satisfy you on all levels. Looks? Service? Attitude? A subjective opinion needs to be taken objectively. But this is the common sense part, which so many seem to be missing......so any sharp commentary, however well intentioned towards this serves what purpose...?
Look- I understand that the longer term members have been there- done that on so many occasions when it comes to bringing up subjects that have been hashed, re-hashed and beaten to death in the past. How is a noob to know? No problem- a little patience goes a long way. I will refrain as possible. But a wee bit of research would go a long way towards getting the assistance one desires, and reducing the amount of "negative" (sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek, anecdotal, jockular etc...) feedback commentary, given with good, yet stern, intent. Probably best to refrain from chiming in to point this out to the clueless.
Just seems to me that there is so much more spoon-feeding and table setting required these days. I suppose this is because the next gen of younger members come from an entitled environment where everything is handed to them? They expect to just show up and the heavy lifting is done already? Or just sheer laziness? I dunno- in my world you get what you give. And I'm more apt to help those that show an inclination to help themselves. But no need to berate these children, when kindness and endless explanation is the new norm. Formerly, a solid smack on the ass was the attention getter, and the consequences went up from there. Usually, the anticipation of the impending "conversation" when the old man got home from work was enough to set you back on the best path.
Come to think of it- isn't this the enforcement that the Mods are now putting back front and centre for our attention and consideration?
Will this clean up the Board and provide a happier, anti-septic environment for all to play in?
Most likely.
But hopefully not at the cost of censor, or the ability to call a spade a spade with some latitude to inject some personality.
As noted earlier, a little common sense can go a long way.'

kinder, gentler PERB....kinder, gentler PERB.......

Well, in the spirit of kindness and gentility that pervades PERB as of late, I join Sybian and offer the second vote for certifying Uncleg's dog as a service animal.

The dog is now authorized to take Uncleg anywhere the dog chooses to take him, provided the dog keeps Uncleg under control at all times.
