Hmm. Last time I passed through Kamloops, a couple of years ago, I stopped and slept in my trailer, parked in, I think it was a Costco lot, close to a casino. kamivix wouldn't stoop to haunting Costco parking lots in the dark of night would she?
it's on my route ;)

Yup your right....casino, then Costco, and across the road my favorite tool place, KMS.
Although the Hwy is a little close for sleeping.

Just got whiplash trying to follow Miss Hunter's sudden changes of topic. I have no idea what the bullying comment refers to. There's a lot on perb that just goes right over my head, but that's just as well, I'm sure.

Not the first time I've been called a bully for speaking out against a ****** *** on this board.
Did somebody call you a bully?

I remember replying to a guy when a group of people thought they were the judge and the jury. They repeatedly insulted a poster. "Bullying" is a suitable word for that.

If a poster broke some rules, flagging him to the mods is the proper action per "gentler kinder PERB" guidelines.

He could be:
1) a troll, who'd greatly enjoy the attention;
2) a ****** ***, whom you definitely cannot fix with your posts;
3) a reasonable guy with perhaps an unfortunate choice of words. Yes, I think it's possible, his previous posts were fine.

In any of the above, a continued shitstorm does not achieve anything, and can only hurt.
At the end mods banned him. It's their call, whatever, as long as we don't propagate negativity.

Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual. One essential prerequisite is the perception, by the bully or by others, of an imbalance of social or physical power, which distinguishes bullying from conflict.
It's a good definition, everything checks out.

When many long-term posters gang up on one newer guy, there is an obvious imbalance of power. The message was repeated and abusive. The guy whom I addressed said to the poster something like "you shouldn't be seeing either SPs or civilian women". I imagine high school bullies use a different wording but essentially the same message.

I said much worse than that guy, hence why I assumed the bully comment was meant for me. I still stand by my comments.

That poster started a thread that read to many of us that he was looking for weak desperate civilian ladies who are easy to take advantage of. A perfectly reasonable explanation as to why many of us were upset about it. I understand that the new perb policy of kinder and gentler means well. But life experience has taught me its best to not be kind and gentle to manipulative antisocial predators. It only serves as positive reinforcement for their behaviour. Some of us ladies on here aren't doormats. He brought up pick up artistry, the head cult member for that community is RooshV, he publicly admits to having antisocial tendencies and hatred towards women.

If you think its likely that he simply chose poor wording, you obviously weren't paying attention. Or you just have no clue what kind of bullshit us women deal with since the day we hit puberty.
Men who have anti social tendencies, and hatred towards women...in my experience...tend to hang out together.
They brood ,and feed off each other's septic minds....eventually trying to out do each other's accomplishments....Rape is a common subject in these crowds of half-men.
It is a sick and twisted club of pathetic morons, who cant make it in the real world to begin with...so they gather in collaboration , to find company in their misconceptions.

Whatever works for you in the real life may not look as reasonable on the forum. You cannot see the person, don't interact with them much, and don't have influence on them.

Did replying to any troll fix them? The more attention they get, the happier they are.
Did replying to a creep fix them? A sociopath will ignore your words and move on, your comment does not impact his life.
The only time the negativity has impact is when you are wrong and the other person is at least half-decent.

If you think its likely that he simply chose poor wording, you obviously weren't paying attention.
Let's pay attention: nobody said it was likely. It was one of the three possibilities I listed.

The post was not obviously ban-worthy. If it was, tell me which of 18 "original" PERB guidelines it violated, and I'll regret I haven't flagged it myself.

I understand what triggered your reaction. That was exactly one word, PUA abbreviation in the post title.
The post body did not make any reference to it and was rather accurately worded. It did not provably show the poster was trying to "take advantage" of any woman, unless consensual adult sex qualifies as that.

So, given that you and I don't have a crystal ball to judge a person by one word, I'm not impressed when a person is treated to a chain of insults in the line of "you shouldn't get laid", "nobody will want you", etc.

This is not gender-specific and does not limit your right to comment, vent, make your own opinion about an individual, or report them. I believe people advancing PUA agenda or promoting their leaders get banned here. It can be a judgement call. So I'd rather see mods handling it, which they do without emotions, feeding of trolls, or bumping their threads.
