good on ya. being younger myself(but older then 19-22)i can't stand to see how some of these ignorant fucks act. they have no one else to teach them anything, and no one else stands up to them cause eveyone is affraid they are going to get stomped. they have no honour anymore. to them there is nothing dishonourable about 10 guys stomping the shit out of one person.

i was brought up with if you have to fight at all, you fight one on one cause anything else meant you were a coward and brought you shame. if you beat the guy up and he's on the ground you subdue him and ask him if he's had enough, not stomp him til he's out cold and maybe dead and laugh about how cool that was with the rest of your buddies.

the way some of these fucks act is intollerable to our society and i say good on ya for at least standing up to these dumb shits.

I kind of agree with travel guy on this one. I think that you're right with your point that simply walking away isn't going to do anything. In fact, it would probably make them more likely to repeat those actions as doing nothing would teach them that there won't be any consequences for their actions.

But at the same time, simply beating their deserving asses, although very satisfying in the short term (Lord knows it would make me feel a whole lot better), would probably make things worse down the road as it would end up fostering even more antagonism within them against asians.

I think that the reprimand, for it to have the most effect, most likely has to come from the kids peers i.e. other caucasians. That way, the admonishment would carry the most weight and they would be more likely to understand that that type of behaviour isn't tolerated in our society. Too bad there wasn't a white guy around to shit kick the little F$%&ers.

I didn't mean for Verb to beat the livin' snot out of these guys I was
simply implying that there may have been other alternatives to how
to handle this situation.
In the heat of emotions during an incident like this it could be very
difficult to know what the right actions would be without escalating this
already troublesome situation.
Personally I believe that Verb did the right thing to make these punks
apologize, I don't think it could have been handled more sensibly in any
other way.
Way to go Verb I think you made the world just a little safer for all
and instilled a little tolerance in these punks as to respecting other
humans no matter what there race!

Last summer my nieghbours son and a friend of his, both white, both 13, were walking home in an upscale west edmonton community, they had gone to Sobie's for a frozen Pizza, and a movie at Blockbuster. Between Sobies and home a black accura pulls up and out jump 4 asian guys and beat the absolute crap out of both of these kids. For no reason. Besides niether of these boys were over 5'1 or 2 and about 100 pounds. They stole thier wallets an Ipod and smashed a cell phone, and put both of them in the hospital. Why????

I think it taught the punks a lesson, especially by becoming the victims themselves. Isn't that why they send problem kids to tour prisons, to scare the crap out of them and show them they are not invincible and there are worse/tougher people out there? I totally disagree. The most likely outcome of his attack is these guys will be out for retaliation against Asians.
What these guys did was stupid and racist, but what verb did was illegal. It also could have resulted in a few other scenarios - none of them good for verb. First he could be charged with assault (and still could, they probably got your licence plate number). Assuming you have no record it would still result in a lot of wasted time and cost for lawyers and maybe fines. Second, things could have escalated. What if they had weapons on them or more friends nearby? Verb could have been stabbed, shot or swarmed.

Violence begets violence, and no matter what 'lesson' you think you taught these guys, it won't be one that makes a positive impact upon their lives or yours.

Their actions were the lowest of the low, unfortunately, yours just took you down to their level and probably just proved to them that different races/cultures/people deserve to be harrassed or assaulted because you just assaulted them (deserved or not!).

I grew up with a lot of people who thought that violence solved a lot of problems, and few of them are here today to see how wrong they were.

What Verb did plain and simple was wrong. It was illegal and and he should be punished for it. What these "punks" did was wrong as they were verbally abusive but you physically assaulted them and took on of their wallets. You would not be able to charge the punks with anything but I think they could lay some charges against you.

You should go back and read his post, first off there was racism unless "swim back to China" is an ok way of saying "welcome to Canada"?
