You can express your opinion, but be ready for others to express theirs. At no point did I tell your opinion was stupid, or to shut up. Instead asked for defining information about why you have that opinion, as well expressing my own. It's obvious you never wanted discourse, just to vent. Which is again, okay. I certainly won't try to desuade you from your already firmly he'd beliefs. It'll just waste both our time.

Have an opinion, just don't expect everyone to agree or respect it.

So long as opinions are respected, disagreements are not in any way against the rules here. When the mods get involved is when things get personal, when debate turns to insults or when intolerance crosses the line to offensive or hateful discourse. It's pretty sad when those who know damn well what they said or spouted off was over the line get all wounded and defensive. If you haven't noticed, we are collectively trying to make this a more inclusive, friendly space. Those who choose to call those who disagree with them stupid or retarded or similar offensive insults can fully expect to get a well deserved infraction or ban depending on their own record and the severity of the offense. It's not rocket science. Disagree with intelligent and reasonable argument and language, no problem. Be an idiot and you will simply wear out your welcome. Clear enough for all?
