I'm not too worried about dudes having to scroll down a bit further for the Vancouver ads, and Fred is definitely working overtime on the bugs, so I won't complain about those. Also, there were some oddly redundant categories scattered about, and this tidy was needed.
But I would like Vancouver to get separate sections for Independents and Agencies. Every other city there are only a handful of posts on any given day, but with all the ads getting bumped here, it makes a bigger difference to both SPs and hobbyists. For us, it means that we get fewer eyeballs on our ads before they move to the second page, but this effect isn't too bad, as we can just re-bump if we so please.
If you're looking though, you probably want one or the other (someone wanting an agency is likely interested in immediate availability and choice, and will not want to wait on a single indy; someone set on a particular girl or type isn't likely to take the assurances of a phone girl over an individual with reviews verifying that they are the real deal). Folding the two into one another has a negative effect on the signal-to-noise ratio of a busier category.
Also, because the two are mutually exclusive (at least on paper), you don't run into the issue of cross-posting cluttering up the Recent Ad column with identical ads.
Just my two cents, but I'm not in any kind of furor over the admins making changes to try and capture a larger audience, so long as it does not dilute the site's effectiveness.
