Mods, is this in beta version? Your web developers sucks! Tell them to go to school and learn the proper way!

Many important/modest functions/features still not work!

I think that since the bulk of the advertisers are in the Vancouver area it should be at the top. The rest could remain in alphabetical order as it stands. I just think those who carry the load so to speak should have some kind of perk.

I just implemented some features on a php (hand-code) website. If everything is implemented properly, F5 is not needed. Note that some CMS may have JS errors. ;)

BTW, it is supposed to be an easy upgrade. :)

you did not even answer my question. Yesterday's upgrade was very minor - not much was changed from the previous version. I did not ask you for your resume but thanks anyway.

From what I've seen, you are just upgrading the main page's layout. pagination links screwed up in the subpages of Vancouver escort review section. Obviously, you didn't do a full usability and functionality testing after the upgrade. One more thing, don't rely on CMS too much because it can screw up JS.

Advice: better disable the site for big/major maintenance for proper coding. PHP is OO possible now.

...every time you post now it asks you to navigate or stay on the page, then dumps you back into the post as though you had to post again - and a lot of users do, so then double/triple posts occurs. Stupid bug...snip
Fred, I hope you're following this thread...many of us are reporting bugs, not just mercyshooter, and two days later, those original bugs are still having their lunch on the site...minor or not, some major things are fucked up.

I did not read this whole thread but here is a novel idea; how about testing the site before going into production. the bugs are MAJOR. You should be ashamed of yourselves how poorly this release performs. You cant' even get past the first page of the Vancouver Escort ads and these people are paying you??????

I notice Fred had to put a "sticky" in the lounge to inform GVRD residents of their place on this board. I guess most of them didn't know they wete located in British Columbia.

You'll have to forgive us. We were so used to having our sections at the top of the forum for so long. Apparently, alphabetical ordering of the sections makes some of us feel less special

New layout sucks.

I now have to scroll down through way to many Alberta and BC categories to get to Vancouver area forums.

I'm not too worried about dudes having to scroll down a bit further for the Vancouver ads, and Fred is definitely working overtime on the bugs, so I won't complain about those. Also, there were some oddly redundant categories scattered about, and this tidy was needed.

But I would like Vancouver to get separate sections for Independents and Agencies. Every other city there are only a handful of posts on any given day, but with all the ads getting bumped here, it makes a bigger difference to both SPs and hobbyists. For us, it means that we get fewer eyeballs on our ads before they move to the second page, but this effect isn't too bad, as we can just re-bump if we so please.

If you're looking though, you probably want one or the other (someone wanting an agency is likely interested in immediate availability and choice, and will not want to wait on a single indy; someone set on a particular girl or type isn't likely to take the assurances of a phone girl over an individual with reviews verifying that they are the real deal). Folding the two into one another has a negative effect on the signal-to-noise ratio of a busier category.

Also, because the two are mutually exclusive (at least on paper), you don't run into the issue of cross-posting cluttering up the Recent Ad column with identical ads.

Just my two cents, but I'm not in any kind of furor over the admins making changes to try and capture a larger audience, so long as it does not dilute the site's effectiveness.

To much clutter imo. Why can't the home page have you pick the province or region you want then go from there?

I think that idea might be the best thing to come out of this thread.imo
To me that would make the new site better. Shit would have made the old site better too.

When Iost it asks if I want to stay or leave page.

I hit leave and my post is still in front of me waiting to be posted, but it already has gone. If you don't check I see why there are double posts now.
