I think when this all plays out Luongo will be the starter in the Gold medal game...

Brodeur is clearly struggling vis-a-vis the Devils...

how Fleury was even selected to this team is beyond me, as Pittsburgh clearly won the Cup despite him, not because of him...

Luongo is an immature punk/crybaby who happens to be the best in the game...

the Sedins are far classier...

I'd say Brodeur automatically gets the start, afterwards, who knows if he continues to struggle. It could be like Salt Lake where Joseph plays the first game then never sees the ice again.

You'd have to be nuts not to go with Brodeur... Luongo is the most overrated goaile in the league. Yeah he's great in the regular season but he plays too much and is not a proven play-off performer.

Brodeur - 3 Stanley Cups - 98 Playoff games won...

Fluery - 1 Stanley Cup - 31 Playoff games won...

Luongo - None - 11 Playoff Games won...

Fleury should dress before Luo...

I agree...although, I think Luo will see some ice time, just to please the Vancouverites...

Brodeur has always played on a good defensive minded New Jersey team, while Luongo has with the exception of the last the last few years, played on brutal to above average defensive teams. So you are really comparing apples to oranges.

I would still start Brodeur based on his experience.

52 games played this season. 2.35 Goals against average. .919

Brodeur:

58 games played this season. 2.32 goals against average. .915

They're pretty much dead even this season. Start with Luongo, and as they get further along and the pressure builds up, Brodeur goes in.

Brodeur starts against the Norwegians, Luongo starts against the Swiss, back to Brodeur for the game against the yanks.

HNIC flashed a disturbing stat during last night's double-header.
in their last 10 games, Brodeur, Luongo and Fleury's win loss percentage
isn't that flattering. i'm sensing nervousness from all three.
Luongo looked horrible tonight. but then his dmen didn't help either.

one of the 3 better get their act together, or Team Canada will not even make
the medal rounds.

This is rather going to Lou's coming out party or he will be branded a dude who can't get it done when it matters. He used all his leverage to get as much dough out of the Canucks as he could. He got his personal objectives (more money) out of the way by portraying himself as one of the best goalies in the world......now is his chance to proove it.
