I've seen this happening in Vancouver alot more recently. Does anyone have any real life input or stories on this? I'm curious if this is something that works successfully for the room provider or if they just end up with girls bailing after a week of the arrangement. Also curious about the quality of the girls offering to live in this type of arrangement.

There has been a thread on this before
.
It's a bad idea all around ..

Bad for the girl because what's right does she have if she is not paying rent . She can't even claim a boy friend girl friend relationship.

And then there is the other side you might find your self nine jail for sexual assault and rape. Try telling the cops or the court the women display not put out a cording to the agreement you had with her .
Sound like using threats and couirsion to force some one to have sex .

I see your point. I can picture alot of scenarios where things just go wrong. The guy may get tired of the sex and the girl may even get fed up of doing it. It makes for an extremely awkward person for either person to bring home a different sexual partner. It seems like pooning or finding a sugar baby is a better way of doing things.

Ofcourse, all this is speculation; which is why I started the thread and hope to hear some real life insight.

sad it has come to this scenario.
obviously, the renter will get evicted as soon as the douche landlord gets his thrill.

@the Meat Market!!!lol
the worst part about this is it will come back on legit sex work....as it already is....

this is bad press and is giving the hand wringing feminazi's one more reason to attack sex buyers....

the spin will be that all clients/ men are predators and that some kind of enforcement is needed....what kind of enforcement? well, given the enforcement of the past...something quick and dirty and not well planned....also, it could lead to police or city workers going to the landlords of sex workers and checking if they pay rent or not.....

their reasoning is that because men can buy sex....they think they can buy it or trade it from anyone....the foundation of support for the nordic model.

i am kind of pissed off that some guys chose to do this at the peril of everyone in our community....

stupid...really stupid

This goes on at so many different levels .. it very little to do with sex workers or selling sex for trade .

How many relationships are just relationships of convenience.. gym meets girl , girl moves in because she can't afford where she lives or she just came out of another long term "relationship ". and comes out of it with nothing as usual. Now she is with another guy , he in it for free sex as per say.. they might both think something else might come of it , but in the end he puts up with her and she stays because she has no where else to go .So many girls get traded in situations like this when they don't have the money or job to go on there own. I find that just as sad and disturbing and have seen it a few time.
Trying to secure your right when u are in a long term relationship is not that easy .And then the if there is nothing there is not much a girl can do .

Why would I be putting the girl point of view foreward , because guys can be ass holes and just there to take what they can . Usually free sex and throw in abuse on top if it .. And then other guys that care about people have to deal with the damage and baggage from ducked up relationships.

Sex for accommodations is very common .

sex for accommodation or any other goods or services....is still sex work.....it is sex work out of desperation or convenience....but is still sex work....if i suck your dick....for a hamburger let's say....it's still sex work....

That'sounds painting a broad stroke
Would you saty that any person woman or man that is staying with another in a none loving none commited arrangement , just so they have a place to sleep and maybe call home for awhile are sex workers . If they have sex with there friend , aquanitance or the person they are staying with help them keep that arangement they have for accommodation.

If that the case more then 50% of women in loveless and just accommodating relationship , including marriages and girl friend boy friend would fall into that category.

I agree it not something any women should get them selves into with a landlord or in any way .
But women do all the time and some look for it so they can get by .

How is that different from a typical relationship though? Most men aren't attractive to females, so we need to pay them one way or another.

Exactly what I was trying to. Point out . It is a very fine line if the government want to start scrutinizing who is pay for sex and how .

Of course the landlord or anyone offering a place to live in exchange for sex is basicly soliciting. And trying to take advantage of someone's situation ..
Of course for them to assume this is unlimited sex when ever they want is a something the girl should make clear what the term are and yes place a value on it .
Rent is only only worth so much . Most escort can make their rent with seeing 5 or so clients and any more goes to living or saving ..

It strange that some girl that get them selves into situation like sex for rent don't know what that is really worth..
Same situation when they get caught up with pimps.

From the girls POV, it seems like engaging in working as an SP for a small amount of time, would be preferable to the alternative living arrangement. Unless ofcourse, she is uncomfortable entering the profession and dealing with multiple strangers, and would prefer to do that with one person that she's living with. Still, I don't know how that could be better.
