Does everyone get a rebate? I have not received one.
Depends when your insurance renews. There's 2 rebates to be clear. Smaller initial one was a rebate due to Covid/less traffic risk. Mine was only 29 bucks so..meh. The bigger one which according to the ICBC calculator is the one based on the new enhanced rate changes. Mine is supposed to be about 144 dollars and should be credited to my initial payment method which was Visa. Those rebates are supposed to come this month. My insurance was renewed Sept 5th and I paid in full. If you made monthly payments you should get whatever you are entitled to broken down into a reduction on your monthly payments for the rest of your current insurance term.

I got $125 back and when I renew in September, my annual rate will be almost $400 cheaper.

Meanwhile, next door in Halbeta, rates are shooting way up.

I guess a lot of lawyers and doctors will be taking pay cuts soon, though.

Ha!

I just cashed my rebate cheque of $298 from SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance).

If I raid my piggy bank I should be able to scrape together another $2, and I will have enough for an hour with a well reviewed touring girl. :)

I take the highway 1 to work and usually some idiot is on my tail, 20 feet from my rear while I am doing 110km, he wants to go 120km,

Not complaining but they sent another couple of hundred. Paperwork doesn’t clearly state if it’s from 2020 or based on my 2021 renewal.

Personal injury lawyers (ambulance chasers) must be swallowing nervously as the NDP make sure they continue to eat shit in the minds of the public. ICBC continues to find financial stability and shovel money back to rate payers, meanwhile dancing on the grave of personal injury lawyers. Eby for the win!

It is not a win for those with permanent disabilities due to an accident that was not their fault. I know a few people in that boat right now fighting ICBC.

They still have to fight for it. Just like WCB.
Only if they aren't able to reach a settlement - I know people who have gone both routes (settlement and litigation).

I can also say the people I know who choose litigation in the past tended to try and fuck ICBC for damages based on overblown 'injuries', the narrative of their 'injuries' was always supported by their lecherous lawyers.

I am not saying everyone who chooses litigation is lying, but it seems more about maximizing a payout as opposed to getting a fair payout.
