I too boycott Arbys, try their drive thru on Kingsway in Burnaby and you will know why, on average it takes about 5 minutes for them to fill an order (with no one in front), so if there is 1-2 cars in front of you, be prepare to wait about 10-13 minutes.
I lined up once at the drive thru and waited over 10 minutes, and the line up didn't move at all, I just drove off.......I called Arby’s head office to complain how slow the drive thru was....but they had one of those telephone automatic machine on, going to the front reception saying that she can’t take the call right now cause she is on “lunch”…..well, I left a message and 2 weeks later….ya, no joke 2 weeks later, they called back, she told me that she was on vacation, and the temp didn’t know what to do…..like a 16 year old with an average IQ, would know what to do, ASK someone what to do…..well, I told her the problem, the speed of the drive thru……I told her that Wendy’s is right across the street, and I get in and out under 2 minute with 1 or 2 cars in front……her reply “we are not a burger place….we are a roast beef sandwich place”.
OK, if we take a survey on the street, what is Arby? More people would say it’s fast food burger place, then saying a roast beef sandwich place (without giving multiple choice answers)…..so, what I’m saying is that should Arby spend millions of dollars convincing the public that it’s a roast beef place or spend the money on better product, and better advertisement.
Well, after that arrogant remark, I asked to talk to her supervisor….his name is Mike Brown. Mike Brown is the operation manager, and I wonder to this day how Arby’s survive with this clown running the company. He has no knowledge about how to manage a corner grocery store, yet alone a small burger company.
Waiting for the day Arby’s goes bankrupt in Canada….with the competition of Wendy’s coming hard to be number 2, and MacDonald’s fighting back….it only leave so much room for the other’s to compete in the burger war.
