How many illegal Christmas gatherings did you witness.........know of?

Title says it all. Personally I know of 2 such occurances.
One in my own braindead brother in laws house where they partook in
an 11 person Christmas day celebration sans masks or social distancing.

Now a life long buddy of mine tells me one of his employees has a
Christmas day celebration with all the trimmings including 16 people
over for dinner. 6 of them flew in from Poland for the Christmas family
get together. So it would seem they are not going to quarantine and
he is looking out for the rest of his crews safety including himself and
his wife, (10 people in all) and will contact worksafe BC to see what
he should/can do to keep everyone safe at the place of work.

So there's a fairly large contingent of COVIDIOTS I know of that blatantly
have broken the rules.

Who else here knows of these goings on and how many people were involved?
This should be interesting to hear about.

Not going to bother with details but I was surprised to see a few relatives who are super diligent with regards to Covid safety in their daily affairs hold Christmas dinners with multiple households. A long term care nurse here, a new and expecting mom there and a few middle aged and elderly folks with conditions for good measure. We’re on southern Vancouver Island mind you, which has some of the lowest per capita infections west of the maritimes, but still.
My dad wanted me to come over for Christmas, but his wife’s adult kids and SOs were going to be there, and I’ve already got my three person bubble as a single tenant. Even though I was 99.99 percent sure nobody at that gathering had Covid, I didn’t want to go on principle. I took up a second residence in Victoria just to get away from the covidiots at my work and in my condo back on the mainland so I’m not going to push the envelope here.

Vacation cabins a few miles away from me.........driveways packed full of vehicles.
From what I’ve heard through the backwoods smoke signals ,at least one vacation home came down with infections.
Thanks geniuses....for putting every local at risk, ...people that have no real access to a Physician.

One person from my gym, where I have not set foot since March, posts regularly on social media of her escapades, throughout the entire period, flaunting every rule that's put in place and then going into the family restaurant where she works, potentially exposing hundreds of people every day. It's pathetic.

Don't ever forget the big box outlets ( Costco, Walmart ). Those places are packed on a regular bases which sell non essential items too. Most people see what they want to see have small minded thinking. These rules are a total joke all around if you think outside the box.

Was downtown yesterday and saw large crowds everywhere with no social distancing. People are finding loopholes in a large way. Metro-town was loaded with gatherings too.

Tested every single day. The entire world of professional sports, which employs multiple of millions, are all operating under far greater restrictions than anyone’s employment other than HCW conditions. Minimal chance of cluster infections outside of their venues.

because of multiple HCW staff cleaning cooking and admin coming in contact with the vulnerable who live 24/7 isolated in the same building over time inside. they are all 70+ and the virus spreads through every single staff member going home and then back to work asymptomatic. those who scream isolate the vulnerable forget. who is going to cook clean launder maintain fix medicate and visit with them while having their own lives outside of work? professional sports is money. so are extremely pricey LTC homes. you mustn’t foot the bill for your parents yet. billion dollar industry. japan korea taiwan even italy and most of the middle east won’t stick their elderly to die in a LTC home. they have greater respect.

Just saw this thread.
I was out shoveling my walk the other day. I'll explain that later to all of you on the "Wet Coast."
It was after Christmas. As I come in the front door, I check my mailbox. There is a note in there, a Word document to be more accurate, that someone has printed and obviously put in people's mailbaoxes on the street. It goes "Dear Nosey Neighbor," and on to say that someone turned them in on New Years Eve for having a "small gathering." How they are so disappointed that in their neighborhood, some "busybody" had nothing better to do than ruin their holiday and then bunch of other jibberish about good neighbors and karma, blah, blah and so on.
First off, I'm not a big fan of the whole whistleblower thing but I also don't blame someone who may have been or is being adversely affected by the pandemic, for dropping a dime on these people.
I have no idea who left the note. My Christams Eve was very quiet and i didn't notice any large gatherings. I also didn't spend the night peering out my front window. Although if I did know, I might write them a note saying I really don't feel sorry for them, It's ignoarnt people like them, who are prolonging the suffering for us all and putting a tremendous strain on our healthcare workers and system.
I'm going to ask my next door neighbor. He's one of those guys who seems to know evertything that's going on, on the street.

I didnt witness or know of any actually. What I did witness was a house very close to me having large get togethers nightly with well over 1 mil worth of cars parked in the driveway (more like 2 m with Lambo’s, Ferrari’s and Audi’s). I watched the RCMP spend their new years eve removing poker tables, wheels and other gambling equipment.

Hard to tell but I would guess there were 30-40 people in the house gambling at a time. Willing to bet that they weren’t wearing masks or socially distancing. There was a similar raid in the summer in Richmond but this one is different. Maybe same guys just opening up a new location since I see the guys from the summer were charged with the that incident the same day the new raid happened.
