I think people who don’t respect public health guidelines are complete assholes. I also think that anyone on this board who is critical of those don’t respect those guidelines and has seen an escort in the last 10 months is a hypocrite.

I know of a few families that had one or two of their family over, but they practised social distancing, and wore masks except when eating.

well, you're clearly make this one up

the sock model closed the borders to all non-essential travel months ago, months ago!!!

I don't believe this anymore than the news articles that Gene Simmons was vacationing in the Rocky mountains earlier this year

how could 6 Polish get into the country with Trudeau on guard? o_O

6 Chinese Party Members, sure, but not 6 Polish, no way not on Turdeau's watch!!!!
Gene Simmons owns a house in Whistler and has been living there for months with his Canadian wife during the Pandemic.

Its funny. At work you can require a employee to wear safety glassed if he uses a drill press and he does use the safety glasses.. At home the same guy doesn't use safety glasses, because its his choice, slows him down, etc.
Covid19 is nothing more than a flu, that just transfers between people a lot quicker. Say 3 to 10 years ago, old people were still dying because of complications with the flu (influenza etc). When you get covid 19 in the lungs, that is where it gets dangerous for you and you need a ventillator to survive. Most healthy people will have very minimum effects from covid. The problem is passing the covid on to others who do not have great immune systems (so they end up in hospital on ventillators).

Old folks homes have been hit hard. One because of the age and health of the older folks. Second because of the lack of care/precautions from the staff and owners (cheap fucken bastards). Thirdly because of the heating/AC/forced air system of the buildings. Fouthly, the dumbass relatives who passed it on to their parent/grandparent, unkownly.

As for people gathering in numbers, they are responding to the herd call of nature. They need to be with other people to feel normal....

We are the same as Wolves....we find health and security in our numbers, as we are both predators, and somewhat at the top of the food chain, electing our leaders, and governing our citizens.
We both thrive in “family” units....adopting outsiders that enhance our survival...or better our lives, making us stronger by association.
We both care for the ones who weaken us, and we banish those who threaten our survival ....both of our numbers are effected by viruses....it is our population moderator.

Thirty year old buddy of mine lives with mom and dad and recently got it from mom who works at a department store. She had a bad on and off again headache, but not unlike anything she had experienced before at 62. A few days into her headache symptoms, 66 yo dad could barely walk, stand, retain fluids etc—that’s when/how they found out it might be in the house. My thirty yo fit/no health issue friend thought he was fine with some fatigue and loss of smell but two days into it he’s the most ill he’s ever felt in his life. Can’t sleep, eat, but not as bad as dad. His sister visited the house for a couple hours(second time since the directive against having people over) before they had symptoms and now she’s positive isolated at a hotel away from her toddler and husband, but doing totally fine as is the mom who never had anything worse than the headaches. Dad still extremely fatigued but starting to be able to walk again. I’ve been that sick once in my life with the flu but it didn’t take out half the house, and it was only that bad for one night. My Grandma died of pneumonia after having the flu at 90. She was the only person I know to be hospitalized from influenza, but I know two men in in their 40s and 60s who died from C19 and they worked FT on their feet. Totally true that most have zero to minimal symptoms but damn if you aren’t in that group. I miss people too and it’s been rough this year but I’m doing my best to avoid catching/spreading this disease.
