Kuzmenko has 120 points in 153 games not too bad for a guy that everyone wants to run out of town.
Goddamn, you're still on this points argument 🙄

Points/Goals/Assists are important, they do not make up for the fact the dude couldn't get with our TEAMS structure/playstyle and wasn't bringing value this season. Please stop, this is getting embarrassing...

You need to look at the big picture and realize pro sports is a business. When they traded for Lindholm they were still trying to sign Pettersson. Sometimes you have to take that gamble. He was a backup plan in case Pettersson didn't sign. He may be a third line center on the Canucks, but he would be first or second on most of the other teams. Also, it doesn't matter what Kuzmenko is going to be, the fact is he wasn't playing the way the management wanted him to play in Vancouver, and he was on the fourth line. They probably gave up a little too much to get him, but that's yet to be determined. What if they win the Cup? Would you still be saying that?

Not really surprised at tonight's result.
That 3-1 could easily have been 1-3.
Of the various teams down 3-1 and facing elimination I thought Predators had the best hope to stay alive.
I will say I was amazed Leafs won in Boston!
I thought they were deader than Jimmy Hoffa

Game 6 in Music City!

Well, yeah, regardless of hype, Nashville and Vancouver are a fairly even match, and these have been unpredictable close games. The Canucks were lucky to win the previous game and go up 3-1 in the series. Now I guess the tables turned and all that flailing away in game 5 did not put the Preds down for good. So, they have to kill off Nashville in Nashville or face a dreaded game 7.
(Why must our team always do things the hard way?!)

Anyways, Boeser certainly stepped up the game before; that's the good news. Elias Petterson is still a non-factor, and for being the supposed #1 guy, that's the bad news. Secondary scoring is nice to see, but the primary needs to show why it's the primary.

(Also sad to see the Jets eliminated, because aside from the Canucks I'd have rooted for them next, but at least it was to the Avs. There are worse franchises to lose to.)

Give Nashville credit. They deserved to win based on the overall play. Canucks were lucky to be up 1-0, and then couldn’t take advantage of it. It wouldn’t surprise me if it goes to game 7.

Despite signing that contract, I still have my doubts that he wants to be in Vancouver. Maybe he's regretting signing it and not accepting the trade to Carolina (or wherever they were going to send him).

It may still happen. Playoffs will be over way before his new contract kicks in with the NMC.

But his showing in these games has simply been invisible.

I hate to say it, cause I have faith in the kid.
But Petey has been a bit of a detriment to this series. He had a few good moments last night, and nothing bad that stood out to me like that giveaway along the blue line in Game 2 that lead to Nashvilles third goal.

If Petey is nursing something, he should be sat for a couple games to rest. Put Podzy in.

I think "Podzy" got sent to "Abby"?
I also think "Petey" has an undisclosed "owie"?

Nashville will be very tough at home but maybe "Millsy" and "Huggie" and "Bessy" will be up for the task?

"Tocs" and "Gonch" and "Foots" will have them up for it!

I can "sniff" a victory...

The inevitable is coming, the Avs are going to mow down the West and take on the Panthers. Very fast vs fast.

I think the Nucks will win a couple of games vs Oilers. Probably just one.

If the Avs make it out of the west with Alexandar Georgiev in net, that will be impressive.

I dont know if the Canucks can beat the oilers in a best of 7 but this series should have a lot more goal scoring.

I appreciate the regular season does not mean much come playoff time, but the Canucks were 4-0 against Edmonton this past season. I think they stand a good chance against Edmonton.
On the other hand, Colorado was 3-0 against the Canucks, so who knows. Canucks are better on defense and in goal than Colorado. But again regular season stats can be meaningless in the playoffs.

The Oilers are not the same team that the Canucks played earlier in the year. There defence is much better and their goaltending is a lot better. The Canucks will have to elevate their game to another level and stay out of the penalty box to beat them.

It sucks the way the schedule works that has the Oilers and Canucks playing each other. Would sooner see them both play American teams rather than have one more Canadian team eliminated this round.
