There are 7 games to be played in this round, the true character of the team will show itself before it’s done, I doubt these guys will fold but Demco will surely be missed, what a bummer!

You're clearly not watching the same hockey I am.

Kuzzy couldn't D to save his life. He's got flash and can score sometimes, but he was never skating back and constantly going East/West when our structure is clearly North/South.

Lindholms winning faceoffs, meaning more possession, leading to more goal opportunities. He can back check, and if you're actually paying attention his hockey IQ is leagues above Kuzmenko.

Do I think we gave up a bit too much? Sure, but we desperately NEEDED a right handed faceoff guy, and Kuzzy had been on a major slump.

Yeah people forget not every trade is measured in Goals scored. Would we like Lindholm to get 40 goals? Sure, but if his defensive play is elite I am ok with him scoring at a lower pace. But the trade will look terrible if we actually don't sign him in the off season.

sometimes a change of address can get a career back on track and that seems to be the case with Kuzmenko. It'll be interesting to see how he does in a full season in Calgary.
Lindholm is probably a more rounded, 200 foot type who's good on faceoffs,penalty-killing,playmaking and contributing some secondary scoring.
His Game 1 was likely what coaches/management are expecting.

I hope both players(and their teams) benefit from the trade.

I honestly think Lindholm is a rental. Canucks went all in for this season, they have significant pieces that are unrestricted at seasons and and the cap says we can't keep them all. I think Lindholm gets lost in the shuffle. I have concerns with Demko, awesome goalie but too often injured.

Let's not forget Lindholm is currently living out of a hotel for these exact reasons.

If you've ever lived out of a hotel room (I have for work for extended durations), it's demoralizing in and of itselfs.

When the playoffs were about to start, I had only 2 "keys" in mind for the Canucks to do well in these playoffs:
1) Thatcher Demko needs to stay healthy
2) Boeser and Petterson need to play very well.

So it's 2 games in, and point #1 has already taken a bad turn.

As for #2 ... :cautious:

actually, I've spent many work assignments in hotels on an extended basis and quite enjoyed it...maybe depends on the hotel?
If Lindholm is ok with his accommodation maybe he'll be ok for the playoffs....beyond that is to be decided?

I was not able to watch game 3 due to boredom. 12 shots on goal is what you expect in maybe 2 periods of a tight defensive battle but the whole game.
I tuned it out and than watch the Avs's track meet vs the best D team in the league. 39 shots on Goal and clearly the most exciting team in the league. I have no idea how the Kraken beat the Avs last year.

I was rooting for Tampa for one last run but they simply don't have any speed whatsoever now. All the small, fast guys are gone.

If its Oilers Avs in the West Finals we will be in for a treat. I don't want to see the Nucks go further since they may bore us to death if the can't play offense. 12 shots on goal. LOL
