Then he is a loser. What kind of fool would want to hang from a rope???

But wait, in the article it says,
"The coroner Roger Hatch, recorded an open verdict, saying: "I am satisfied having heard the evidence that there was nothing to suggest Mr Birch intended to take his own life.""

Does that mean that since he didn't intend on taking his own life, that the girls will be charged with murder since they took his life?

No, an open verdict means that he couldn't reach a definitive conclusion as to which of the possible verdicts available to the coroner applied in this case. They are usually recorded in suicides where the the intent of the deceased can't be proven.

But, under English law they could be charged with involuntary manslaughter though.

hopefully the banker left some kind of suicide note that this was his own doing and the two ladies did not have any knowledge of his intentions to kill himself.
