Does her name start with Charlee and end with Beckett? I knew it would be her even before I read the full post.

Her twitter and her posts on perb are full of men hating comments. Do you guys go see her for degradation or something?

100% agree with your comment. Affordability is not the issue either. However, It was much easier back in the day, with some potentially closing doors to good clients. Lets not for forget that this industry is still " illegal " for ones who choose to purchase sex. I viewed some online booking request forms and I will say this, some are a bit extreme overboard to say the least . But, its their way of business as it is on our end. Thank goodness easier and relaxed options are available for us. I'm sure they appreciate our biz too. Let the chips fall where they may.

bruh
First off, the irony of calling us broke when their the ones having sex for money....
Also just terrible business sense.

I'll be honest: I’m certainly not broke, and I can assure you I'm wealthier than any provider in the city. However, I'm not going to engage in this. If I come across a provider charging GST or PST on their rates and making a big deal about it, I won’t be traveling just to get exact change. It's not just a matter of principle or inconvenience, I genuinely see it as a sign of poor judgment and desperation which wont be rewarding.

There’s a strange trend where many providers are making it increasingly inconvenient to see them. The whole point of this hobby is that it offers a more convenient alternative to going out, wining, and dining a girl while investing all that time and effort. However, many of these providers and the unhealthy games they play are making it seem like taking a regular girl out on a date could be a more convenient choice.

Fortunately, the attractive providers who don’t have a dislike for men won’t engage in this behavioru\.

At no point in our conversation did you mention it wasn’t in my Tryst ad, and that’s what bothered you. However, I will say, that in no other industry is it assumed the posted prices will include tax. But just to cover all my bases so my shit is idiot and asshole proof, I’ve updated my Tryst ad.

Anyone who pays any attention to me at all knows I am working to normalize my industry. This could reasonably include charging GST, which I do pay. No reason we should be the only business that absorbs the cost.

Anyone who follows me also knows that, to advocate and connect with colleagues, I *anonymously* post screenshots of guys who treat me poorly. Like you did. You find it unsexy that I see myself as a legitimate business, which I am. I know how that kind of attitude translates into sessions and I can confidently say you’re probably not a pleasant client.

Receipts including GST numbers are 100% available through my registered business. I even have a fake website that looks like a consulting firm if you want to write it off.

Anyhoo, I stand by calling you an asshole for deciding not to see me because I charge and pay tax like every single other business you patronise. In fact, I think I’ll shoot Merriam-Webster a message, maybe they’ll update the definition to just your username, especially after this ridiculous thread.

Looking forward to seeing all the clients who continue to book me whenever anyone tries to slander me for doing something that’s actually awesome. I will never apologize for respecting myself and my industry.

If they want to charge tax, ask them to provide their registered business name and GST number.
And then you can use it as an input tax credit to offset GST on lots of others things.

Have to note this is a pretty unique thread, first I have ever seen anything like it actually. Hope it keeps going ...

Frankly telling if need to do these steps and go through a selection process, form filling, deposit and booking a week in advance, I would choose to go for a civillian who will value my time and effort.

On the other hand I am in this hobby to enjoy it as minimal effort as possible, same day with few hours notice, pay in cash enjoy this bought time. No strings attached, no drama with agreed terms and thats it.

First of all, he’s not talking about me. But I do have a GST number. And I do pay my GST. And I have the entire time.

I do think it is peculiar to not include the GST in the price. That’s what I do. Although I do charge GST on credit card transactions, just because I’m already paying for the processing fees on that. But I DO make that clear when somebody asks if I take credit cards.

I think she is probably trying to come across as being Uber professional by pointing out she is doing everything by the book.

But in an industry that rarely charges, GST, this does look peculiar. However, it is unique to this industry.

You wouldn’t walk into your accountants office or your hairdresser or restaurant, etc. pay cash for a service, and then be surprised that Tax was added on. We all know that is the case.

I think it’s just assumed in this industry that most entertainers do not declare cash, and therefore do not have a GST number. Which is not the case. But I think most of us just choose to incorporate that into our price so we don’t end up with a peculiar amount that we are charging.

Okay, I don’t want to wade into the he-said, she-said morass. Nor do I wish to pretend to speak on behalf of Charlee or any of the Perb members who have chimed in on this clearly contentious issue. I just want to add a little context to the discussion.

I’ve been a member of Perb now for about 8 years and in the time that I’ve been aware of Charlee (and in her previous incarnation, the handle which I cannot recall), she has been on the cutting edge of advocacy for sex workers. Sometimes this rubs men the wrong way because, let’s be frank, she is no shrinking violet. She follows in the footsteps of a long tradition of women who express opinions that the status quo may be not comfortable with. In charging GST, she is simply stating - and rather courageously, I must say - is that sex work is like any other form of labour. She is attempting to take it out margins for the benefit of women and men alike.

To me, as a man who participates in the sex trade in the shadows, I’m grateful for the advocacy she does. I’m neither offended, nor threatened, by the fact she charges GST.

Since I started charging deposits, stopped doing same day bookings, and started treating this like what it is (a business), almost all the drama I’ve encountered has been from people who haven’t seen me (like dramatic ol’ Take8Easy here). Before, it was mostly in person which is WAY more difficult to deal with.

Many of my clients prepay, or tip, so the amount isn’t that weird. Also technically it’s not US charging the weird amount, it’s the government.

As a note I have a cash box with change if anyone ever needs exact change.

Just be prepared for your DM with her to be posted at the drop of a hat, regardless of the alleged tax compliance and advocacy.
Completely anonymously. I never post info that could identify anyone. The only reason anyone would be upset is because they’re ashamed of what they’ve said.

Noooooooooooooooo
He is upset because he is NOT ASHAMED OF WHAT HE SAID.
If that were true why are the screenshots themselves

Again...."exacct change"??????

No…? Someone brought up earlier that it would be inconvenient to bring exact change, so I’m saying you don’t have to. Why would offering exact change belittle my clients? I think saying having to bring exact change is annoying belittles ME.

Noooooooooooooooooooo
its your drama.....
you started this personally and then threw it out on perb...not him
He started this thread, not me. He threw a hissy fit about having to pay tax, not me. Sounds like he’s the drama
