I will try to keep it short. A few days ago, I was scheduling an hour appointment with this provider whom I wanted to see for the longest time. We agreed on time and everything was good to go. She was busy when we agreed on time and she said that she will get back to me asap. Anyways, I was really looking forward to it and I just could not wait.
So I got the text a few hours later saying something like, 'Send me $100 deposit and you can bring the balance ($***.** including taxes).' I didn't read the whole message the first time and that was my mistake. I ran to a nearby Seven 11 and just as I was about to get out of the car, she texted me about how she prefers to receive the deposit. I took the phone out to read the message and that is when I read her earlier message again and I was taken aback. I am not going to lie that it was an instant turn off. I had put aside $50 for tip on top of her fee but I just think it is a sneaky way of overcharging.
Her ad on Tryst doesn't mention anything about GST. To her defense, she asked me to fill out the form on her website although we had already agreed on time. I found that a bit odd and different. But I went with it. AND NOW I KNOW WHY!
When I asked her if she was joking about GST, she said that yes she charges GST and it on her website. She said she has a GST number as well. I guess that's why she wanted me to go to her website to see. I didn’t see or chose not to read the fine print. My mistake!
Anyways, I told her that I was totally turned off. I thanked her for all the time and apologized. Then the sarcasm and name calling began from her side. I again, decided to not to react.
I am not going to bad mouth her. She has her business and she has every right to run it the way she wants. I am not even going to mention her name because I respect what she does and I find her very attractive. I am not even going to mention her rates just in case someone tries to take wild guess as to who she is.
I know it is buyer beware kind of thing but honestly Tryst is her main advertising site and she doesn't mention GST there. How many of you go through those long essays describing different things on these websites after you have looked at a fairly descriptive ads on Tryst?
Oh well, I am glad that I read her texts the second time and decided not to proceed.
My advice to her (not that she will take it) is, to mention the GST part in her ads. If not, an easier thing to do is to just set a rate and feel free to mention that it includes GST ($525, including gst for example ).
Again, it’s not about another 20-30 bucks as I have seen about 125 ladies for over 190 sessions for about $55,000 . It’s about false advertising and what makes it worse is the fact it was done by someone who is fairly active here.
Moral of the story, be prepared just in case a provider tells you that she charges 5% on top of her fee.
I wonder if this post will be taken down for some reason. Again this is not to bad mouth her, it is more to describe my shock and disappointment.
PS: I wrote this review a day after it happened but decided not to post it but I emailed it to myself. I got a few messages from fellow PERB members that this lady went to one of her social media platform and posted screenshots of our conversation.
I guess posting on social media is her choice but that’s what made me decide to tell my side of the story.
