Ok guys and bolls . here is the deep thought of the day.. and i know you all are deep thinkers with more then one head .. so here goes.
I for one have a constant seance of deja vu.. where i am experiencing a moment or event .. of being in a place .doing a job. ,see Sean. or even meeting some one for the first time .. but they seem so familiar.
Then i realize that i have dream it before .. some times many years before it happens ...I think I have constant precognition .. of my future.
Does any one else experience this ..Or do you believe that your future path is made .. or at least the places you well be .. the decisions we make i think are still up to us .. but seeing part of the future help prepare oneself for what there dicision we mayhave to make or even help use to do a job the is requiered.
. Any thoughts.. something serious.

nope...never believed you can see the future. Mostly because I am on the side of "the future is not yet written". If it isnt written, how can one see it?

I have had many visions of deja vu. Its short flashes of a place or situation that I have dreamed about. Once I have the moments I turn my head and look around and know what is going to be there.

Do I think that life is predestined? Yes I do. I think that once we are born, we are faced with a number of choices which lead us to other choices and so on. The one thing that is for certain with every choice we make is that the end result is that we will all die. The choices we make dictate how long we live and how we move on.

The Greeks had the Fates - one who weaves, one who measures, one who cuts. Nostradamus has been said to have seen the future. The Mayans and their calander are to this day a scientific mystery/curiosity.

Life is predestined based on the choices we make.

Deja Vu is when they change something.

(If you never saw the Matrix then you won't get that line)

Scientifically Deja Vu is your brain echoing or double synapse firing for the same set of stimuli. At least that was the theory back when I was in college. But does it matter if life is predetermined? If it is, then you can't change it, don't worry about it. If it isn't, then the future is unwritten, don't worry about it. The only real difference I can see is if you think it is predetermined, and use that as an excuse to not take responsibility for your actions and future.

Even though I think i my see a glimpse of a possiable future.. It is usually . just that i am in a location that i have never seen .. or working on a project . that i could not imagine doing ... In that respect the dream may just be influencing the chooses i make that lead me to the situation .. As for saying . that something will happen .. or that i will do this or that because it is already preordained .. and there for i am not responsible .. No . i still have a chose ,, and the chose will always will be based on who i am ..and what i think is right and wrong... But most of what happens to use is influenced by others desition .. not are own .
. We may want a job .. and ask .. but some one else has to say yes or no .. You may be attracted to a women .. but ultamitly . they deeside weather to accept you.. and so on.
Even with having a vision of a possiable future . situation .. it wont be exactly the same . because now you have altered the future.
I know it is a hard one to get the brain around ..are we individuals .. or just part of a grand plan we every Nance . calculated in..I don't want to believe that. but when you experience certain things .. then i have to wounder

yeah, its just a brain fart ... you brain just processed the info
and then took half a second to release it and in doing so it
'seemed' familiar because your unconscious already saw it
before your conscious did ...

as for pre-destined ... by a higher power? no.

by your kindergarten teacher? yes.

lots of studies showing the power of 'labelling' on
success (and failure) outcomes among children.

I think we all decide and choose our own destiny.

Someone told me once that whomever you see in your dreams...you will eventually meet or you have already met. Or maybe it's from a past life that you've met these people and that's why they seem familiar....who really knows...but it's interesting...

What comes after is based on what has come before. The future is conditioned by the past but always with the opportunity of manifestation beyond the pattern else there is no evolution, no development. The opportunity is called open space.

This is not what I believe but something I thought about while having a discussion about religion and 'gods plan' with a friend.

What if life is kind of like a movie...You can know what is going to happen, you can know how it could have been different, but no matter what you do the characters still make their own choices and suffer their own consequences. So maybe this is a 'movie' and 'someone' knows what we are going to do but them knowing doesn't make it any less your choice.

That is the only way I could really explain the idea that anything out there could be omniscient because I definately don't believe that anything or anyone but myself dictates or is responsible for my own actions.

I think we all fall prey to self-fulfilling prophesies occasionally, some with longer term impacts than others. I like to believe that we can exercise self-determination, too! I think LG's point could be extended to "values imposition"--the idea that other people who are significant to us sometimes shape our destinies, usually while trying to help. Think of the impact of the times when you've said "You should..." to someone!

Pre-determined lives? I don't know about that, but i definitely don't believe in free-will.
I think humans have an exaggerated view of our species. We have brains, not minds.
We make choices, but not with a 'free-will'. We make decisions based on what we believe will be good for us. Sometimes we decide with the little head and sometimes...
